I had a great experience here, thanks especially to Rafael (I believe that was his name). He was very professional and kind both when I booked the car and when I returned it. At booking, he made the process fast and easy. When I came back to return the car, I was delayed due to heavy traffic. Rafael was very understanding, handled everything quickly, and kindly waived the late fee. Really appreciated his help and excellent customer service!

I made a same-day reservation, but plans changed; my colleague was leaving earlier than expected, so I in turn, arrived before my reservation. Nick was beyond helpful in getting me into a vehicle, on my way, and out of my predicament. This is why I rent with Hertz/Thrifty.

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with a recent rental experience that fell far short of expectations and industry standards.
Upon arriving to pick up my rental vehicle, I was given an electric vehicle with a 200-mile range. I informed the desk agent that I was traveling to Grand Junction and would not be able to make the trip with that range. Instead of assisting with a suitable alternative, I was told I needed to pay an additional $40 to switch to a gas vehicle. Given the circumstances, this fee felt unfair and unreasonable.
The issues continued at the end of my trip. During the reservation process, I had selected the option to return the vehicle without refueling. Despite having an email confirmation showing this selection, I was told at drop-off that I had not signed up for that feature and was required to refuel the vehicle myself. I ended up paying $10 out-of-pocket for gas—something that should have been covered per my original agreement.
Additionally, I was told there was a crack in the windshield upon return. Fortunately, I had taken well-documented photos of the vehicle before leaving the lot, clearly showing that the damage was already present. No agent walked the vehicle with me at pickup, which is a standard best practice to avoid disputes like this.
As someone who has worked in the hospitality industry for over two decades, I can confidently say this experience was unacceptable and lacked the level of service expected from a reputable company. I am extremely disappointed and, as a result, will not rent from Hertz again, nor will I recommend your services to others.
I hope this message is received seriously, and I would appreciate a follow-up. Some form of compensation would be appropriate under these circumstances.

Liars. I was told that would only be charged 2 days for a rental if I brought the vehicle back on the 2nd day, before the initial out time. Turns out I got charged 3 days for a total of $228. When I asked about why I was told one thing & charged another the employee simply said “oh, well that guy was new & so he’s was wrong to tell you that”
Zero accountability. Unprofessional. Zero customer service skills. Rent from another place.

Went in to get rental and saying can't get any other cars in. Usually places get cars brought in if need be. Not helpful or willing at all.

I have had to use Hertz at this specific location for four times over the summer. I would have never chose here after my first experience. Every single time I have been in there it has gotten worse and worse. They either don’t find my reservation. Or they don’t currently have a car. Or I have to sit and wait until they go get a car that I can use. It is so utterly disgusting how every time we go in there, it is a mess. Do not use them.
We are using them because my brand new truck is in the shop. So this is a choice that our dealership has given us as A loaner car. To add insult to injury we have to come here and deal with a mess after dealing with the issues that we have with our brand new truck. They always manage to add to the issues then to subtract from them.
Update wasn’t even cleaned it’s filthy. I hope that instead of responding to my reviews, you really make changes.

I recently had to get a long term rental car due to my car needing to be repaired from an accident. I drive a Tesla and really wanted a Tesla rental. I contacted Hertz and they went above and beyond to make sure they found me a Tesla rental. I also needed someone to pick me up from the Tesla collision center in Frederick and they said that was no problem. The driver (I forget his name, but he was the assistant manager and very very nice) picked me up on time and drove me to the Hertz shop to fill out the paperwork. All in all it was a super easy experience. I received top notch customer service and will definitely use this Hertz shop in the future.
