It's a pretty good gym. You get what you need out of it and I haven't had any bad experiences there. It's a mix of people as far as the type of gym experienced go. Both ur meat heads and ur newbies go there but neither seem to be over the top. The one positive I will give that that stands out from other gyms is that they have an outdoor area to work out in. A lot (if not all) of gyms don't have that. And that's nice especially when it's not cold out outside. Flip some tire. Oh and values is great, $10 for the basic plan to just work out. $25 to do all the other stuff I don't do like message lounge, tanning, pool, sauna, etc.

Equipment constantly broken and some left for months, like Stair climbers, 2 Un operatable for months, 2 with cracked steps. Aqua massage beds, 2 down. No lighting in parking lot at night, dangerous for ladies, elderly, a setup for criminals to wait on their pray. Constantly running out of soap in showers and sinks, idiots get upset and break them off the walls. Extractor that rings out swimwear leaks water all the way across where you walk thru and stinks. Multiple broken lockers not repaired, some over a year. I bring these things up to the manager there constantly, last time I let him know that others and I were happy to take pics of the place to show the conditions, when I did he stared directly at me and slammed the desk in front of the other employees. I felt his aggression and told him let's take this outside if he was going to act like that at which point he lowered his voice and said I don't know what you mean. Every time you let him know about these issues he always claims it just happened, even when I have seen these things have been broken or out of ordered like I said going on for weeks. On top of all this they continue selling memberships over fixing items, even 2 of the employees have mentioned they see them putting memberships over the conditions and there is now not enough equipment to handle all the members, so you have to wait and jump on equipment and grab items very aggressively to keep from others getting in front of you. Non of the other facilities look or stink like this one. My problem is I do not feel I should have to pass this facility and go 5 miles out of my way because the manager doesn't want to do his job and keep this place in operatable condition. These are only the issues I notice as to what I use.

This gym is an absolute joke. The whole mission for VASA seems to be packing in as many people as humanly possible, raking in the profits, and putting as little as possible back into the business. Most of the equipment is in bad shape. Some of the most popular equipment (the peck deck, etc.) has been broken for months with no sense of urgency to repair. The amount of plates in the facility is a joke too. Always having to run all over the gym to find 45s. Forget about 10s. Some of the lat pulldown bars are so bad where the carabiner goes through has like 1mm of metal left so someone is bound to get seriously injured when it gives. There are like 15 cable machines and like 3 ropes in the whole facility. Two of which are completely falling apart. For a company that brought in $390M in revenue last year, that's a bad look. And don't even get me started on the cleanliness of the place as a whole. The bathrooms are always disgusting. I've been to other VASAs (Littleton specifically) and they are managed way better and have way better kept equipment. VASA Thornton is a joke. I would literally go anywhere else if you are serious about fitness.

Bathrooms are always gross and never maintained. Staff doesn’t pay attention to people coming through the door, in fact you can find them normally sitting in the counter playing on their phones. Location has zero dress code, seen people lifting in flip-flops and see through clothes…might be a bonus if you looking for a gym crush as most people wear close to nothing.

I came in to VASA Thornton on 12/29/23 to use a free day pass I had received in the mail. I relocated and need to find a new gym closer to home. I didn't intend on purchasing a plan on this day as I was still in the process of trying out different gyms near me, which, I shared with the employee. Throughout my time sitting with him, he asked me to fill out my information on an iPad. A couple of times, I stopped to ask why he needed particular info such as my phone number and address as I only wanted to use the day pass for now. He questioned why I didn't want to sign up for a membership at this time and proceeded to ask me the typical questions regarding what I need/want out of my gym membership. I don't need much and shared that I need a treadmill, eliptical, weight machines, free weights, and a place to stretch. I'd love to use a hot tub. He went on to ask me if I had kids (I don't). He told me about an unlimited body scan, which I said that I wouldn't be interested in. He told me about a $5 credit towards snack items that I told him I would not be interested in. He then convinced me to give them a chance for a month as I can cancel my membership within 30 days without being charged the monthly membership fee. So, I signed up. Later this night, I visited the VASA app and saw that he signed me up for the Studio (most expensive plan)! This is silly as I had told him I wasn't interested in 3 of the services you get with the Studio.I am upset by this because I feel he did not take the time to review what each membership includes. If he had, I would have seected the Fitness as that makes the most sense for my needs/wants. But also, it seems he did not listen to what I said I need and don't need from a gym and proceeded to up-sell me on a more expensive plan. I figure employees may get bonus money or something for however many memberships they sign on and maybe even more on the more expensive plans.I went to the gym the next day to explain this situation and my frustration and was told that I can change my plan to Fitness (which I did on the spot) but would not receive the promotion price of $19.99/month as it is considered breaking my contract! I find this unfair as their employee was not transparent with me. Also, I was signed up within 24 hours previously and find such strict conditions ridiculous. After this, I called the gym to try to talk to a manager but all they could do was give me a customer service number as they cannot alter prices of plans.I intend to use the gym until my 30 day window is up and cancel my membership. I feel hoodwinked and being that there are many gym competitors in this area I don't have to stay with a gym that performs shady business.

Wish I could give zero stars. I’ve had the upmost worst experience here the billing department is horrible and the service is awful. Make sure to read reviews and contracts before signing up for this distasteful gym. I was charged over $70 in fees when my monthly plan selected was $24 it’s ridiculous my bank thought someone was trying to steal my money so my card declined and they charged me again. I tried calling it took me three days to get ahold of someone for this issue and when I did the women was zero ZERO to help to me. she told me I would just have to pay both. Exuse me? I highly do not recommend it here. And I will say the men at this gym are creeps they don’t leave women I would not recommend this gym to anyone. I wish I would have never payed this place a dime I’m very disappointed and out of money that could have been used on a better gym.

While this location is cleaner than the Aurora one, somehow it still manages to lack. For months there has been an inconsistent amount of weights for the amount of machines and people in the gym, only one set of each dumbbell, can’t properly lift because there’s only a few sets of 10s and 5s to share across the entire place. Equipment stays broken for weeks at a time. Either stop accepting new memberships or get more equipment

Hands down, Julia is the best assistant GM in the gym industry. She went above and beyond and literally helped me right before Christmas time. She had the sweetest and most amicable personality. I will keep coming just for her.... thank you Julia!!! You are such an amazing asset to Vasa!!

Worst staff of any Vasa Fitness location I’ve been to, treat you as if you’re a nuisance when you walk in there and pay no attention to what is going on around them as you can clearly see. This was taken 12/17/23 after I had politely asked them if they could change the TV channel, all they said was they would get to it and the whole time they stayed on their phones watching football. Guy in the white hat even mugged me on my way out for some reason thinking he’s hard but yet he’s the one making minimum wage, both of these employees have an absolute lack of customer service skills and are completely unprofessional. Email has been sent to Vasa regarding such experience.

Lockers were very dirty. Gym super cold when I arrived. Ice in front of building needs heat lamps or something for safety. Water fountain water is not cold - just like warm. Enjoyed the atmosphere and was able to get in the best workout I’ve had for a very long time.

Do not do the personal training they are very sneaky with their fees. They will continue to charge you for basic membership and your personal training sessions (even though the personal trainers cancel on you multiple times but you already paid for that service) you have to continue to pay for a service you are not getting if not you can not use the gym and they will continue to charge for your membership as well. They do not want to help. They just want to trap you into personal training to suck all your money. Aside from the nice aesthetic of the gym. VASA is untrustworthy, unethical, and sneaky when charging you fees.

This page is awesome. A couple of reasons for 4 instead of 5 stars.... There are some machines that are broken, and have been for over a week. The low end of the dumbbell rack is always empty. They are either just gone or spread all over the gym. There are usually a few people working, so they should be able to reorganize the weights. Just my opinion. Otherwise, it's a great gym.

Really clean facility. Lots of equipment and options. I really liked how helpful the front desk was even if their website was down. Was a great space to practice volleyball in and go for a swim. Would consider a membership here if I lived closer

The cleanliness and operational standards at this gym leave much to be desired. It has been observed that the gym's associates frequently wear AirPods, which may lead to a lack of attentive customer service. Additionally, the gym maintenance appears subpar, as evidenced by the persistently sticky weights and scattered equipment on the pool deck and sauna area. Finding the appropriate weight range, particularly in the 10-30 pound range, can prove to be a challenge, often due to equipment misuse for non-fitness purposes. Furthermore, it has come to my attention that attempts to request a gym cleaning from the attendants have been met with indifference, as they appear to ignore such requests. This lack of responsiveness further contributes to the overall dissatisfaction with the gym's maintenance and customer service standards.

What a joke. If you survive the overcrowding, and find enough weights or machines to get a decent workout prepare to hold your breath in the locker rooms or smell the stench of who knows what in the showers. Staff doesn’t care about trash everywhere they’re too busy on their phones to even walk around and see how much of a disaster this place is. Do yourself a favor and take your $10 to any other gym, it’s gotta be better than here.
