I'm about to consult an attorney to seek damages from Cole Dean due to my judgment based on the following experience: I hired Cole Dean to build a Privacy fence around my back yard last Summer. He used materials and performed a job that turned out extremely unprofessional and failed terribly to meet the job objectives, which was to build a fence with no visible gaps between boards, which would have prevented the average person from being able to see into my backyard from any concievable distance. The gaps between the boards were so large, the very day of completion, than anyone was easily able to see into my yard from the street level, as well as from three backyards over, without even nearing the fence, therefore offering No visual privacy. The material also included mix-size boards so that they didnt even come down to the ground in some places, as well as a board which was fractured before even being used. In addition, a piece of the board near the gate latch also broke and split within 2 months. I was also charged close to seven THOUSAND dollars, around 2.5 times the cost of similiar companies. The day the fence was complete, I thought that it was still under construction due to the gaps and broken, mismatched boards. For 6 months I tried contacting Mr. Dean about the problems, because he quoted his own guarentee that if I wasn't satisfied, he would rebuild or repair it for no cost, which he defaulted on. It took many attempts on the phone to have him acknowledge my calls, and then refused to discuss the problems with the fence, making only angry excuses and behaving in a very non-professional manner. He has since refused even to attempt to look at the fence, and will absolutely not respond. At this point I am screening attorneys to attempt to enforce his professional obligation to correct his work, and act upon his dishonest guarentee. I would absolutely NOT even consider hiring Mr. Dean for any job. At this point I would much prefer to attempt a compromise for correcting the work on the fence privately, rather than going through the legal system, and hope he will offer a solution instead. He also has behaved very rudely toward me, despite my multiple efforts to be polite and fair about reaching a solution. Again, the $6500.00 cost of the very poorly done fence was over two times what other companies charge for. I believe Mr. Dean to be an extremely dishonest, unprofessional and incompetent man
