Old historical inn which creaks with age and charm! Wonderful service and very friendly staff.Bathrooms are down the hall from the rooms, in true old school fashion. Everything was very neat and clean with lots of little, thoughtful extras that made our stay so special.Rooms are upstairs while the saloon and restaurant are on the ground floor. A lovely little library and games room upstairs and living room with fireplace on the bottom for guest use. Every room has a little historical info given about it with some old photos here and there.Overall a charming experience!

Didn’t stay here but wished we could have. Much better option than the Mount Elbert Lodge, where you won’t have to deal with the owner Becky’s extremely bad behavior. These people were really nice, food is excellent and helped us plan our hiking and outings. The Mount Elbert Lodge owners were unhelpful.

If you love history and rustic you will love this place. I am glad this building is saved. It has so much history. We stayed in two different rooms and both were great. One had a bath in the room and the other one had a bath down the hall. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was available anytime after 11:00 pm. They get it ready the night before which is great for early risers. Appreciated the fresh strawberries and kuerig coffee. You can dine there on certain days and the food and drinks are really good. There are large windows overlooking the lake. You can hike to the historic Interlaken home across the lake. Not much to the town but it is very memorable. The manager/part owner Andy makes it all happen. Super nice and helpful. It's one of the few cool places left where you can get a parking spot. Go there before it gets discovered.

Stopped on a whim after exploring Independence Pass. It looked enticing and after entering, we were totally impressed with the rustic charm and local atmosphere. We didn't have a reservation but Andy was very accommodating and got us a table. The food was awesome! My 13 year old grandson had the Colorado hamburger of course! I had the pork chop which as very tender and delicious! I neglected to take a picture of our food but I did take this picture from my seat! Spectacular view and a wonderful venue. I highly recommend this place.

I quite enjoy eating here, the food is fresh and fairly priced for all dishes. The view looks over the lake as the mountains tower over you. Along independence pass, this inn has the rustic cabin feel and look. There is a fireplace that keeps diners warm in winter, while the drinks stay cold, the food comes out fresh and occasionally wildlife is seen just across the road.

Great find on HWY 82 close to Leadville and Aspen. Quaint and authentic inn with very clean rooms, friendly & attentive staff in a beautiful setting. They have a nice little bar, good food, and a well stocked self service breakfast nook. Just ask for a breakfast to go, and they’ll put it together and have it waiting in the fridge for you. Highly recommend!

I thru hiked on the Colorado Trail in 2015, and I wanted to share this magical place with my son and grandkids. Our 2 nights at the Inn and living life at Twin Lakes were like coming "home." The Village people make you feel like family. And the food; AMAZING. The curry soup ?. Thank you for beautiful memories.

Nice wee Inn at Twin Lakes. Staff were good, setting was nice, food was a bit average considering the price. Again not bad, just felt like the edge wasn’t there that you might expect from somewhere so iconic. Still absolutely recommend a visit!

Friendly staff and a fun place in the shadow of Independence Pass. Can't rate the rooms since I haven't stayed the night yet. The food is good and the service on point though.

After failing to pack food that could be cooked inside our camper, despite the clear warnings of rain for the majority of our camping trip- we fled a thunderstorm to come to the only restaurant in town. Figuring literally anything would be better than the spaghetti (with no sauce- that key ingredient was left at home) that we packed "just in case it rains" we were blown away by this place. The food was delicious and our family of four all left happily stuffed- we had the salmon, Parmesan chicken, and the kids split a burger. The food alone was worth a five star review but there just is something special about this hidden gem of a mountain restaurant. While eating we enjoyed the mountain/lake views and were charmed by the hummingbirds that stopped by to eat along with us. If you are in need of gluten free options, this place has plenty! Well worth a stop. Highly recommend. Two thumbs up. We've never ditched camping for a restaurant before but glad we did tonight!
