The Victor Lowell Thomas Museum is a fascinating place that showcases the history of mining and the local area. Housed in a building with old hotel charm and character, it features well-preserved artifacts from families that impacted the region. Visitors can explore rooms filled with informative plaques and signs, providing a self-guided experience. The museum offers exhibits on gold mining and local Victor artifacts, including a notable collection in the back room that features medical items from the founder’s family. The upstairs exhibits reveal the building’s past as a hotel, adding to its Wild West character. The museum is affordable, with an entry fee of $10, and includes a gift shop. This place is awesome! It’s sad that a previous reviewer like Twinkle left a one star review because of their ineptitude.
