A small town, family run, and friendly place to get good food at a decent price. Would most certainly eat here

The food was great! My wife and I both stopped here for a breakfast burrito and I can't recommend it enough!Food: 8.7/10Service: 9.4/10Bathroom: 3.7/10 Needs a lot of work! Dirty, no soap and no paper towels.I'm not going to dock any points for that though because everything else was clean so it might've just been a busy morning. Definitely give this place a shot of you're in the area!

Fabulous restaurant that looks like a closed abandoned old general store from the outside. But on the inside you’ll find food is excellent, friendly staff, and a fun atmosphere inside where it looks like things have not changed in decades. I had breakfast and it was super. Hard to find places like this anymore unfortunately

We stopped here on our way to Colorado Springs from Mesa Verde with our camper in tow. There was an area for us to pull along the side which was great. The food was wonderful and the cream pie was delicious.

HOMEMADE fries! Yum! Yum! Yum! Perfectly cooked. This place has been famous to us forever for the chili. The chili this time was not quite as good as it used to be. I'm a spice wimp and even I think the chili could use just a little more spice and tlc. However, the meal was very yummy and so filling. Yes, you should stop here. And, yes, if you want to use the facilities you should buy a drink or a banana or a pastry. Frankly you should do that at ALL places you stop, even if it's a big national chain! It's a business! How do you expect them to survive if you don't transact some business with them? The pay it forward board is cool!

Stopped while following a school trip. Had a toddler with me who needed to potty. She peed in the parking lot because if you don't spend money inside they won't allow use of the restroom. Why bother stopping. I have been here in the past and it was awesome but now... nope. Didn't try the food, service person was unhelpful, didn't pay much attention to the ambiance. Kid had to pee.

We can't comment on the food or service, but we stopped by today (Monday) for lunch, only to find the place closed. The sign on the door said it was open Thursday to Monday. There was a big red flag saying it was open. But nobody there. Two signs on the door saying restrooms are ONLY for customers and anyone parked wrong would be towed away. Not a particularly welcoming place.

Stopped in after attending the Seven Peaks music festival and hearing how great the food was. The BLT didn't disappoint with crispy bacon, fresh red and ripe tomatoes, and sourdough bread. Sweet potato fries were also delicious.

I have been looking for a good Hamburger for a couple of years, locally. This place is worth the travel. 43 miles from home, and worth the drive. The Mushroom and Swiss Burger was very, Great! As was the French Fries . I will be back, next weekend. Well worth the trip.........

Being in Villa Grove, you cant miss this stop. Its the only restaurant in town. So wonderful to. We stopped in for breakfast and grabbed some homemade sweets to go. Definitely well worth the stop, and the scenery, the old building and the small store.
