About Anchor Motel
Anchor Motel is a clean, old-fashioned motel that provides a good experience and a comfortable stay. The owners and staff are wonderful, great, and friendly. Rooms are very clean and feature comfortable beds, with guests noting they slept well. The showers are also highlighted as being great and hot. While the rooms are described as not very big, small, or very very small, they are seen as comfortable and doing their job for those on a budget. The motel operates on a first-come, first-serve basis with no reservations, which is considered part of its charm, making it a good choice for a last-minute stay. It is a short walk to lots of downtown restaurants and nearby activities, with enjoyable scenery. The location feels safe and cozy. Some minor drawbacks mentioned are sticky floors and a funny smell in one room. It is a dog-friendly place with no additional charge for pets. Overall, it is a very reasonable and warm place to stay.
The owners are terrific. Very friendly and accomodating. We stop here frequently when traveling back to TX. This is a perfect motel for Harley riders as there is parking right in front of your room. Rooms are small (cozy) but they are always clean. Great location. We've stopped here several times and are never disappointed.

Simple old school motel with easy parking. Clean rooms at a good price. Owners are onsite, super friendly, and very knowledgeable about the area.
