We hosted our “western” themed holiday party at the Church Ranch Event Center in Westminster! The venue was absolutely perfect for this themed party! We had mechanical bull riding, calf roping, shooting video game, DJ, and line dancing, as well as some other activities. Everyone had a great time and loved the atmosphere of the venue. We had a catered buffet cowboy style buffet by Deshebrado, and the Smore add on package was a huge hit with the guests!Working with Brandon, Eric, Kim and their staff was easy, and they are a real pleasure to work with! The venue makes a perfect setting for a country style wedding; however, you should consider having your corporate events there. It is a spacious venue with plenty of space both indoors and outdoors. Simply beautiful! You will have an event to remember!

Beautiful venue, very kind and friendly staff from the office staff, to planning staff, to day of staff. Very easy to work with and very well organized and clear in their contracts about what is included and what is not. Highly Recommend.

We had an amazing time shooting a wedding at Church Ranch Event Center. Their staff was kind and helpful when we arrived. They even gave us a little tour of the venue. The venue itself is gorgeous inside and out. I was particularly impressed with the outdoor spaces — so many awesome spots with trees and greenery to take photos. Inside is roomy and beautiful. Definitely a top pick for a wedding venue.

By far one of the nicest venues in Colorado. The staff was super helpful and professional from start to finish. They’re dedication and commitment to making the most successful events is zero to none. Definitely will come back for future events at Church Ranch Events. The staff, event planners, and day of coordinator are top class! 5 stars!

We got married at CREC in September 2023 and overall had great experience. We got tons of compliments from our guests on how great the venue was. It's nice they include various decor options, planning assistance, you can structure the bar tab how you want, etc. There are some additional "add-ons" that you pay extra for but we never felt pressured to add them and were actually encouraged not to add them until we were absolutely sure we wanted them. A few cons were the lack of time at the venue, especially set up time. If you want to do a first look, you will likely need to pay to add an extra hour. They also were not flexible on our event time (unless we paid extra) which was a little frustrating because we had been given different information during our earlier planning meeting. Their online planning systems are a bit confusing but they seem to be moving to new platforms so hopefully that gets easier in the future. It also was a bit confusing on when there was a discount for paying cash or not. All of this ended up being small stuff in the end and day-of everything went very smoothly. Chelsey was very helpful and responsive throughout the planning process and our day-of coordinator provided by CREC, Kate, did a fantastic job. Overall a hidden gem and very convenient with the number of hotels located nearby if you will be having a lot of out-of-town guests. Also highly recommend using Greens Point for catering - they were amazing!

We have used Church Ranch Event Center for many of our business events and it is always a great experience. The venue is beautiful and the food is always very good. We have the whole place to ourselves unlike a hotel and are able to walk outside on their beautiful grounds to get fresh air throughout an all day event. The staff is always friendly and readily available if we need anything. I recommend this venue for business meetings or evening business dinners. They are top notch!

The venue staff was incredibly kind and supportive throughout my wedding day there. CREC is a beautiful venue and I’m very pleased with my experience as well as how accommodating they are. I would definitely recommend the venue, especially with having an event coordinator that made the day run a lot smoother. I didn’t have to worry about a thing the day of my wedding, we were well taken care of!

In planning and executing a wedding, we assumed that some things may not go as expected. This is inevitable. My husband and I are giving this five-star review not because our experience with Church Ranch Event Center was without complication, but rather because their staff handled a challenging situation concerning our wedding with grace, compassion, understanding, and follow-through.My husband and I are a same sex couple, that were seeking a rustic-chic event space and Church Ranch's space was absolutely perfect. The outdoor area was a beautiful and unique space for our fall wedding, of 100 guests. After we paid the initial deposit to Church Ranch, we received their planning packet and were surprised that all of the language in the packet was customized for an opposite sex wedding, without options to make selections that would apply for a same-sex couples (the language referenced "brides", "maid of honor," "bridesmaids", and traditions that would not apply or be relevant to same-sex couples). This concerned us and we edited the form, as much as we could, to reflect our intentions for a same-sex wedding with persons of different genders in both wedding parties. We then went to our first wedding planning session and they had chairs setup for us, with a wrapped "bride" ribbon on one, and "groom" on the other. On the day of the rehearsal, the event planner came in and asked for the "bridal party" to stand on one side of the room. I interrupted her, stating that there was no bride and that there were two grooms. After this third incident, we called Church Ranch, less than 24 hours before our wedding was to occur, and spoke with Lillian about our concerns. Lillian handled this difficult conversation with grace, understanding, and regret for our experience. She was not defensive for one moment and took immediate responsibility, stating that Church Ranch should and would do more training with event staff on handling same-sex weddings. That night, she contacted all of the people who would be helping at our wedding to remind them of our same-sex wedding the next day and to discuss the appropriate language to use/steps to take to ensure that the event was executed appropriately. She also indicated that Church Ranch had changed their planning forms to be inclusive for same-sex weddings, based on some comments that we previously included on our wedding planning form. The next day, on the day of our wedding, the event planner apologized to me, in person, for the mishap during the rehearsal. Her apology was genuine and she was committed to ensuring that we had the memorable, magical, and special day that we had been planning. The event planner was very understanding, expressed remorse, was not defensive, and did everything in her power to make our special day what we had hoped for. Ultimately, on the day of our wedding, everything was executed perfectly. The venue was beautiful, our guests were so impressed, and we felt that Church Ranch created an event that honored our love and commitment, as a same-sex male couple. We all make mistakes. Including Church Ranch. Their willingness to recognize when they make a mistake, not be defensive, and take actual steps to make the situation right, is uniquely admirable. It is refreshing to see a buisness, like Church Ranch, listening to feedback, being open to how weddings are evolving, and being willing to make changes in their operations to make sure that their customers have an amazing experience on their special day.

Working with the venue throughout the planning process was very frustrating and I experienced several unprofessional communications with the staff. However, our day-of coordinators, Linda and Jen, were great and helped make our day go off without a hitch! Overall, the professionalism and communication when working with couples in the planning process could be improved, but the day-of experience we had was a 10/10! The only reason I gave the stars I did is because they made me feel really bad and frustrated during the planning stages. I would give 3.5 stars.

This venue is beautiful! It was everything we were looking for. The grounds are well taken care of and the included arbor was the cherry on top for us! We did a morning wedding on a Saturday as we had a small crowd. I wouldn't do a morning wedding here again. The guests were staring into the sun and didn't have any shade for the ceremony. There wasn't enough time in the morning to get everything setup (decorations, music, etc). Nothing the venue did, just some things I didn't consider beforehand. There were some miscommunications with the staff on the wedding day but it was resolved. The staff at Church Ranch are very responsive and communicative. I felt welcomed and encouraged to use the grounds as we wished. I never felt pressured.

We recently had our wedding at Church Ranch in August. The venue was beautiful and the event was amazing! Our guest had a great time. Their recommend vendors for food and DJ were fantastic! We used Greens Point Catering and loved it. Our issue was the administration portion. Be sure to have paper trails of everything! We met with the event planner for the initial meeting. We discussed our vision and picked a few enhancements. They failed to tell us “once added to the contract it can’t be taken away”. We added a donut wall a year in advance for our event. A few months before the wedding we decided against the wall. I first asked for it to be removed but understood when they said no as we paid for it and it was added to the contract. I requested we exchange it for a different enhancement and noted we would pay the difference. They stated no, it can’t be removed or changed. I was shocked! This didn’t make any sense to us. Eventually right before the wedding they allowed us to switch it but it took much convincing on our part.We went to a dessert tasting with one of their preferred vendors, the Dessert Bar. We left the tasting so sick, we had food poisoning for 2 days. We never received any communication from the vendor after the tasting nor did we reach out to the Dessert Bar. There was no signed contract by us. We received the final invoice with this vendor added. We brought it to Church Ranch’s attention that we never requested that nor told them we wanted it. Kim, in accounting, advised this was a problem on our part as they never mess up the contracts. We looked through all our emails. There was never communication about dessert other than one email from the event planner asking, we somehow missed the email and didn’t respond. We advised Kim there was no paper trail so it needs to be removed. She said she would look through all records and let us know but, “(she) does everything over the phone.” I explained to her if it’s not in writing it didn’t happen. She told us again “it was added to the contract you signed”. We had our original contract showing it wasn’t there. Kim looked through all the records and agreed we never requested the vendor. She fixed it for us asap but we had to fight for it and provide proof. It was pouring rain right up until our ceremony. The day of event coordinator was very persistent, asking us to make a decision if we wanted inside or outside. We made the decision to do it outside. She kept coming to us with reasons why it had to be inside and then would ask again what we wanted to do. Every time we said outside, that’s what we paid for. We felt very pressured to do it inside. We were also told on two different occasions the venue had umbrellas for guests if it rained. Day of, they didn’t. We stuck with our decision to do it outside. The rain passed right in time and we had a beautiful ceremony! I would be so upset if we followed the planners recommendation and did it inside. Later, the planner suggested we could shut down early if we wanted. At this point we still had a ton of guests and everyone was having a great time on the dance floor. Overall the coordinator felt very pushy to us and was the one negative part of our wedding day. Be advised the initial planner you speak with will not be the same throughout the planning and someone new will be the day of coordinator.Overall a beautiful venue! There are a few kinks on the administrative side that rubbed us the wrong way. After being persistent about the issues they fixed them.
