Walnut Creek Golf Preserve is a favorite public golf course in Westminster. The course is known for being in excellent and great shape, with rolling fairways and greens in good condition. It offers a challenging, open links-style play with tall grass and fun shots. The back nine features some real challenges. The area can be noisy with a lot going on, including planes. The staff is very accommodating, kind, professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. The facility is dog friendly. Good food is available at the bar, including a good breakfast burrito, and drinks are supplied on the course. It is a great place for fall golf with beautiful sunsets.
The course was in excellent condition even after having 10 inches of snow 4 days earlier. There was a frost delay but they caught up quickly.

Walnut Creek is my favorite public track in Westminster. The tall grass after the first cut makes the game very challenging and can help a player better grasp course management. Now I just need to learn how to drink less birdie juice.
