Very high price for simple work. The nail tech kept applying glue on my nails because the white tip nails would fall off as soon as she starter to file them. Poor service high prices. Don't recommend this place

I've been to this place about 6 times, mostly because they accepted walk-ins. Only TWO of those times I had a good experience. They acted as if I was such a burden for coming in to get my nails done and then they did a terrible job with my nails. Twice they've cut me so bad I had to have glue placed to stop the bleeding. mind you, I always ask for a simple, single color nail design. This last time I was going to a wedding abroad and not only was I cut on two of my fingernails but the polish was bumpy, splotchy, and uneven. My 7 year old niece could've done this nail job and yet I paid $60. I vowed to never return. Super overpriced for poor quality work. I won't be returning.

Terrible! Not clean! Poor attitude. My friend's tech was fine, but mine had an attitude from the start. I also noticed that, rather than open freshly sanitized packets of tools, they used cuticle pushers/tools that could/were quite likely used on multiple customers without disinfecting in between. I politely declined the cheese grater and when the tech went to use the sponge looking scrubber, I stopped her because there was a long piece of black hair on it, which was very clearly not mind. She asked (there was a big language barrier) if I just didn't want that treatment and I pointed to the piece of hair. The nail tech next to her, again, who was far nicer and actually did a nice job, explained that the scrubber was dirty. My tech's attitude went from bad to worse. She went into the back to get a new one and while she was gone, I hoped she was picking a clean one. She did a very poor job with the callus removal (I went home and used something similar to do it myself) and my nails look terrible. Every tech always has to use a brush to clean-up a bit here and there, but this was excessive and didn't turn out well. She put the polish on so thick that even an hour later, when I put on actual shoes vs flip-flops, the polish dented. My toe nails weren't cut sufficiently or shaped well and the polish was poorly done. I've encountered all of the those things in the past, but the rude attitude and dirty conditions can't be excused. I won't be back. 2 stars because the other tech was lovely and the prices weren't bad. My friend did not get polish, so I can't speak to the painting skills of the other tech.

I have been a client for some years now. I always had a good experience. Everyone is super nice. However, this last time around I was very disappointed. I called in for an early appointment because I had an event to attend the day of. I got there at my scheduled appointment I went in for my normal mani pedi. I always took who ever was available NEVER was a problem. What I get is simple, my usual manicure and pedicure. I keep my nails simple I don’t get fake nails I just get a gel manicure on my natural nails.
For the price they charge I want and expect a good clean manicure. This time around I did NOT receive that. It was done very fast and very sloppy. My cuticles were not pushed down, cut, and cleaned up. One figure the polish wasn’t shiny as if she forgot the top coat. I did need ONE false nail because my nail had broke the nail she placed is crooked. It’s been two days and my nails look like they need to be done again as if it’s been one or two weeks. It’s very unfortunate that I will NOT be coming back. They offered to “re do” them however I didn’t have time that day and the point was to have them done nice and neat for the event I had that evening. I’m extremely disappointed and would have liked my money back but apparently that isn’t an option. I was a good costumer and always tipped well. Be sure to get the service you pay for and want before walking out and paying.

I moved to the area recently and was looking for a new nail salon and I’m so lucky I stumbled on Five Star! Easily one or the best sets I’ve ever gotten and very fast service. Will definitely be back!
