If i could give no stars i would!! Of all John has no sense of customer service. I took my car I'm for service and they said he fixed it but he only made the problem worse. When i tried to call he was avoiding me and not taking responsibility for what he did to my car. Do not take your car here unless you want to die from faulty car service.

DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE. THEY WILL SCAM YOU JUST TO MAKE MORE MONEY. ZERO COMMUNICATION. TERRIBLE SERVICE I do not recommend this repair shop to ANYONE for multiple reasons. And to make it even worst. Sadly, one of them has been a mechanic for 43 years. Several reason to never use this shop.. their reasoning on what brand of parts they use, pricing on parts, communication, and replacing things without 100% approval. They didn’t give me any choice in replacing something. They didn’t tell me or let me decide on what brand of part. They don’t walk me through what’s going on. And they didnt give me any alternatives. I had my truck that wouldn’t turn over. (Mind you) I am 3 hours away from home. So they originally said it should only take an hour to diagnose. I was waiting in a parking lot for 5 hours, not a single call. I Finally called them and they said.. “Oh yeah it was a sensor, we had one on hand so we replaced it, also has a broken wire clip that we ordered, still won’t start so we ordered another sensor, it won’t be here today so it won’t be done today” Number 1: didn’t tell me they replaced anything. Number 2: Never asked me if that was ok till they already did it. Number 3: they sugar coated it to make it seem it was no big deal, not very much money, super easy. So they made me assume it was super cheap. I go home, called them through 4 straight days, because they would never call me with updates So I had to call them and pry updates out of them. Come to find out, 3 sensors and a ‘lil’ wiring clip was 1160$. That wire clip evidently was 2 wiring harnesses at over 100$ each. And then they charged me more then the price of OEM toyota parts but they put aftermarket which is 1/3 of the cost of OEM. And we all know Toyota Genuine Parts are way better than aftermarket. So they charged me the tripled price of OEM and put in the quality of aftermarket. But the mechanic of 43 years (John) said that aftermarket brands are better. Another red flag. Any experienced mechanic would know that OEM is by far better. Are you serious!? So they don’t communicate, they relay the wrong information, their prices are outrageous, they replace things before approval, then ‘sugar coat’ the parts they did replace as if it was a cheap and easy fix. Then slam you with a crazy bill. Then they say aftermarket parts are better than GENUINE Toyota parts. You guys are crazy, terrible to reason with, and terrible communicators. Thanks for making this the worst experience of my life. Never should you leave your customers feeling like this in any circumstance. Shame on you for having so much experience in mechanic work and then handling the repair and the customer in this way. How hard is it to give your customer a 30 second phone call with an update or to ask approval. Especially when they are waiting on the edge of their seat wondering if their engine is completely shot. Long story short, they did all that work to find out my truck has a severe knocking. Which John said it’s 100% sure a rod knock. I brought my truck somewhere else and posted the sound on multiple forums and EVERYONE is saying it is not a rod knock, too high frequency, and it’s something way simpler to fix then a rod knock. Nichols Auto wanted to swap the engine and said that’s the only way. The other Mechanic I brought it to, said the problem was super easy to figure out to know it wasn’t a rod knock.

So many places are pathetic to charge just to glance at something that may only takes a few minutes to figure out. Big rip offs at most places. One of many experiences; my Windshield wipers were not working so I took my car to a place, they wouldn't even look at the wipers, I would need to pay $160 first; so I went to Nichols Auto, they did a quick check, wiper just had a loose bolt, they tightened the bolt within 5 min, No Charge! Recently had a new alternator replaced in my Dodge Nitro, cheaper than other places I called.I love Nichols Auto for their honesty and reasonable prices. If you want security to get a job well done without wasting time and money, Nichols Auto cares for their customers! I won't take my car anywhere else.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Got a pre purchase inspection done here. They were nice enough to see me without an appointment and were quickly able to find that the oil pan leak the seller had told about was much more severe than implied. Saved me a huge headache and a decent amount of money.

On a Saturday morning, even a little before 9am John answered my call and helped set up a tow for a bad starter on an 2006 Infiniti. Great communication and even stayed late to finish the repair same day, so impressed/thankful and highly recommend

Fast and friendly! I needed an alignment after replacing my control arms and Balljoints and being in the automotive field myself I knew what the issue was. They corrected it without trying to upsell me on cam bolts like Big O Tire did. Will be back!

If you're a woman who is cluless on cars and can be easily taken advantage of because you know zero about carsThis is the place to go❤️These men have never tried to cheat and lie about my car just to get money out of me.A few times ive taken my car in they say everything is good but because of my paranoia i was actually hoping they would say something was wrong ,but they didnt when they had an opportunity to take advantage. They are also the best because they are qualified to fix the deeper problems in cars which basic mechanics can't, so their skills are on a high level.I've been with Nichols Auto for years and have recommended others to go ther, including my family.Everyone i know are cluless on cars, but like me, they trust these men 100 percent because they know they will be guided by truth and not into a hole of deception.

Out of 6 different local shops I called, this is the first and only one that from the start answered my call and didn't immediately start giving me the run around, brought my car in and as busy as they are they got it in and out in 2 days and that's only because they had to wait for a part to ship. Nice, professional and no nonsense, great local shop that I will definitely be returning to

Mike and Chris at Nichols Auto Repair are superstars. The course of the last three days I had three cars (Jeep and two Subarus) with problems- AC coolant leak, check engine light for evap leak and rear strut repair. Not only were they able to diagnose and fix the problems, they did it quickly, efficiently and reasonably. I can’t recommend Nichols auto highly enough! They are my favorite mechanics❤️

Very friendly and they do good work. My complaint is They give a low quote but after the work is done it's always seems to be anywhere between 200 to $500 more than the actual quote which makes it very difficult to budgetService: General repairs & maintenance

Got a faulty temp gauge replaced on my Jeep. They were super friendly and the fix was a very reasonable price and cheaper than the estimate. They got me in and out within 4 hours. Mike even gave me a recommendation for someone to fix my A/C since my car uses a specific type of freon. Thanks for all your help, my car's running great! I didnt use the service but they even offer pick up and drop off if you're too busy to make it to them. If you're looking for that small town family mechanic feel, these are the people you should come see.Services: Auto engine diagnostic
