Working with Nicole was great. She provided easy to follow instruction on how to best work with our pooch.

I have trained both of my dogs with sit means sit and it has changed their lives. My first pittie was a rescue who was super reactive and the training made such a difference for her. As soon as we got our second pittie we brought him straight in because we knew how great the training was!

We needed help training our rescue pitty with some behavioral issues. Sit Means Sit has been absolutely amazing and the group classes have been essential too for getting her more socialized with other dogs and people. Highly recommend! Nicole is fantastic as well!

We love Sit Means Sit! Our dog is all forward momentum and we were in over heads with him. He is still our fun loving guy but with a few more manners. He loves going to group class since he has graduated from private lessons. He sees Nicole and his heart explodes with love. We couldn't have done without Sit Means Sit. They make the experience about teaching and communicating with the dogs.

We are so glad we took our 6yo pittie here for training. We've noticed a night and day difference with her behavior and listening skills. The socialization with other people and dogs in their group training has been immensely helpful as well!

We could not be more thrilled with Anthony, Ed, Nicole & the team at Sit Means Sit Denver. We have two Maltese dogs (8 & 3) who are so very cute but overall just weren't that well-behaved and were starting to drive us a little nuts. We enrolled them for the 5-day board & train and when we went to pick them up, we were just absolutely shocked at the results. Our two little dogs, who used to rule the roost, were now well-behaved, listened, more calm and still their same loving and affectionate selves (something I was particularly nervous about). They used to beg and whine every meal we ate and now they sit on place and wait for us to finish, they are better with people and other dogs and the fact that we can go for training any time we want to make sure they stay up on their obedience is everything! It was mentioned at the Thanksgiving dinner table this year and how glad we are that we made the decision to send our pups to Sit Means Sit! We would 1000% do it again and couldn't recommend them more!

Fantastic trainers, great staff. Super knowledgeable and able to answer any question I have.Group class is worth the price of admission alone. Helps you feel like you're not the only one going through training ups and downs. Training around other people & dogs really helps mine learn how to navigate similar situations. & Going to the park is even better as it's training "out in the world" rather than "in school". & A testament to how well they're training program is: all of the dogs are so well behaved. Even at the park where there's nothing but distractions.

I have been taking my dog Goose to SMS starting in Portland in 2021 and now to this location since June of 2023. First, on the program as a whole. I was very apprehensive about an e-collar at first, but it has been exactly the tool we needed. Goose was a rescue and was very aggressive and reactive toward other dogs and no amount of treats or praise would detract her from that. This training has made walks so much more enjoyable for both of us, given her much more freedom, and strengthened our relationship. She gets excited when I bring her collar out, knowing that she is going to work and get to do something fun and engaging whether that be around the house or out and about. Second, this location. The transition to transfer over was seamless and the trainers have been extraordinarily helpful. The free group classes for life are so valuable and help Goose keep up on her training. She has gone from not being able to be a block away from a dog without barking and lunging to practicing off leash in a room full of 10+ dogs. Nicole and Ed both manage to keep a room full of often reactive/ anxious dogs under control and create an environment where everyone can practice and work on their skills regardless of what level that may be at. I have personally watched other owners and dogs join group class after the training program and go from being no more than 6 feet from other dogs to integrated into the class within a matter of weeks. I'm very thankful to SMS and this location for helping me and Goose enjoy life and training much more!

This company uses public parks and thoroughfares paid for by taxpayers to generate their profit, which is not okay, and illegal without a permit. I witnessed that this company, a part of normal operations, will assemble approximately 10 customers and 10 dogs, and then have them all walk across the street to START training non-compliant dogs, and hmans that can't contol their pets, to obey. Once they cross the busy street, avoiding crosswalks, they enter a public park where the dogs proceed to defecate, spreading feces and urine all over the park/ball fields. The grass and ball fields are all treated with herbicides routinely. Herbicides are harmful to mammals, particularly those that might like to chew on grass. Pets that wallow or tread in the grass pick up herbicides and fertilizers and take them back home, distributing these harmful chemicals until they are washed. The county often puts up signs WARNING of the Chemical contamination, advising the PUBLIC (and TAXPAYERS) to avoid the area. Yet these folks appear not to share this info with the customers that they lead into these areas. Next, we observe this business further abuses the rules by having all of the customers and all of the dogs line up and walk up and down the multi-use BIKE PATH, which is public land whose creation and upkeep is funded by taxpayer money and the local government. The paved Bike Path frequently includes reckless E-bike users as well as people riding motorcycles and even MINIVANS and 4-wheeler ATVs (see 3 publicly available police reports filed in 2023). The very fact that training is needed for these dogs attests to the fact that they do not yet obey and that they cannot be trusted to react properly when fast-moving bikes approach en masse. THIS IS A LEGAL LIABILITY FOR THE BUSINESS. As a result, you have MANY pedestrians using the path to commute (including illegal minivans, motorcycles, and quad 4-wheelers), and the routine line of 25 mammals is rarely single-file despite trying - again you have 10 untrained dogs with 10 untrained owners on a 6-foot wide path with pedestrians using a variety of modes of transportation, all moving quickly and different directions, yet expect that these untrained mammals have full control from the start. They would not be there is they were already under control. After all, the VERY NAME of the BUSINESS acknowledges failure to comply and the need for corrective behavioral training, so then why have the owners decided it's okay to run their business in public parks, on public paths, on public land? Profit motive? I have repeatedly come close to running over both dog and owner when the dog bolts as bikes approach. I have repeatedly had to come to an ABRUPT full stop because Sit Means Sit is INEFFECTIVE and the dogs freak out because they are overwhelmed with all the other dogs and people and moving traffic and street crossings etcetera. Have I mentioned the FECES that kept appearing on the bike path this summer, exactly where these folks have decided to hold their animal training classes, right there on the bike path, right there in the park, on public land, for which the INTENDED PURPOSE is travel, not dog training or fecal art? Why have I not once witnessed the feces being removed from the park once deposited? We demand that the BUSINESS acquire its OWN ASSETS to use for generating profit and stop using the assets we pay for. We request that Sit Means Sit, the business, STOP using public land, public parks, and the public bike path as the assets used to generate profit for your private business...unless you want to share the profit with taxpayers, whose land you are using. Thanks. Please cleanup after your sessions.

(3 years after training) So...I inherited my mom's year and a half old dalmation after she passed, who hadn't been socialized and was quite aggressive to other dogs after she got over being scared. She was also horrible on leash, and despite being a small dog was really not easy to deal with due to the lack of socializing. I contacted Sit Means Sit and Camille and I went to meet with Anthony for our consultation where we instantly felt at home, and that Anthony was genuine and listening to what we had going on. He put all my concerns to rest with a few quick questions, including the use of a "shock collar" which I wasn't thrilled about at first. The collar is part of our everyday life and I couldn't imagine not having it, the collar is how I 'talk' to my dog. Most times, the only time I have it above vibrate is when we're out on a hike or in the store, and the only time she's ever on a physical leash is at the airport. Anthony and staff are amazing, their trainers really know how to show you how to manage your dog and I'll put any future pups through their program. The group classes REALLY WORK!!!!

Anthony and the Sit Means Sit crew have been incredible over the years. We got our dog trained in 2016 through board and train. When he came back, he was a very obedient dog. Our dog has aggression issues and SMS has helped us manage those issues in a responsible and safe way for our dog, other dogs, and people. Since our dog's initial training, we have contacted SMS multiple times and they're always quick to assess the situation, offer guidance, or recommend group class sessions (which are so valuable!).We tried other trainings before SMS. SMS's training was the only training that worked effectively. To this day, our dog will heel, come when called, and... sit when told to.We will definitely be bringing future dogs to SMS.

We are about 3 months into the Sit Means Sit process with our dog, Gio and have seen so much improvement already! Gio loves going to 'school' and has become much less reactive around dogs and actually listens to us! Highly recommend.

Sit Means Sit Denver and my vet are the two reasons I was able to keep my rescue pup, Roxy. I was really struggling with her health issues and then a sudden start of reactivity issues and lunging/pulling on leash at squirrels, skateboards, and rollerblades. After breaking up a few dogfights, I knew quickly that I needed more help than basic Petsmart training could give her.A fellow owner recommended Sit Means Sit to me, and it was the best decision I could have made. I met with Nicole in our free consultation, and her confidence in my dog's potential and robust information about the program sold me pretty quickly. I had never used an e-collar before, and Nicole dispelled a lot of myths that I had heard - and the results speak for themselves, as my dog is becoming a safe, respectful, confident, and responsive canine citizen with it. Nicole has been an incredible resource, her guidance and training has been an absolute gamechanger for my dog and I. We started with private lessons (those alone started helping pretty quickly), and now we attend group class every Saturday which has been AWESOME - plus, the unlimited group classes are an incredible deal! We've been with Sit Means Sit for about 3 months now, and Roxy is a different dog! She's confident, 100% more responsive to me, checks in with me on her own when we're out and about - and seems so much happier with the more structured everyday guidance and communication that Sit Means Sit helps me give her. Our relationship has improved too! Before I started here, and even in the first few weeks, I'd had those niggling thoughts wondering if I could keep her - I was brand new to Denver with a large new dog that was described to me as healthy and easygoing, but was very much none of those things. And while I understand you never truly know with a new dog, it was a lot. I haven't had those thoughts in quite some time now thanks to this program! Highly recommend. If you're hesitant about the e-collar or Sit Means Sit - get informed! It changed mine and my pup's life.
