About Shining Mountain Golf Course and Event center
Shining Mountain Golf Course and Event Center is home to an 18-hole golf course with fantastic views of Pikes Peak and local wildlife, as well as three unique disc golf courses. The fairways are well maintained and the hole layouts are a pleasure to play, offering a challenging round with great views. Some recent reviews note the greens can be in rough, aerated, or sandy condition, particularly early in the season, which can make golf extremely hard. The cart paths are also described as wild. The staff, however, is consistently noted as delightful, friendly, amazing, and flexible, going above and beyond. The event center is large enough for an assortment of weddings, events, or corporate meetings. It is described as a perfect and stunning venue, with a beautiful backyard space for ceremonies. The entire team helps everything run smoothly, assisting with decoration, accommodating outside caterers and special requests, and keeping pricing reasonable. The venue is also pet-friendly. Guests enjoy unique highlights like riding in golf carts. The spacious bathrooms are appreciated. It is considered an incredible place to celebrate, creating a memorable and special experience.
As many reviews have said, the course is still beautiful and the fairways are well maintained, but the greens are unacceptably bad. For a $70 green fee, cart path only, the greens should be in much better shape. Aerated, sanded, extremely rough. Diane and the staff are delightful.
