The store than half dark most days because the lights don’t turn on. We went to get much needed medicine and groceries for a sick baby last night at 850p and the doors were locked up. We had to drive to Yuma and chose Family Dollar to make our purchases of over 100 dollars. So much business is lost at this store.

The corporate decision-making at Dollar General is bizarre. They’ve installed two self-checkout machines, but apparently turned them off because they were concerned about theft. Somehow Target, Walmart, and other chains manage to operate numerous self-checkouts successfully in every store. Yet Dollar General is too concerned with penny-pinching to operate two? If loss prevention is a concern, pay some kid to watch your shoppers check out. Or, install video cameras at the checkouts. This isn’t a hard problem to solve.
Instead, Dollar General left me and a bunch of other honest folks standing in a very slow-moving line for 30 minutes as one staff person worked frantically to process us through a single checkout. The line stretched from the front of the store to the wall, then wrapped around back into the aisle. Took a couple photos and this wasn’t even as long as it got! One man got so tired of waiting that he put his items back and just left the store.
People further back in the line were getting understandably agitated. It wasn’t until a lady pounded on the employees only door and yelled at the two staff back there that another staff member came out and opened a second checkout. I was super glad someone intervened, but he’d also been taking his lunch. The guy seemed miserable when he came out. Dollar General should staff enough people on weeknight evenings (a predictably busy time) to cover lunches and breaks if it doesn’t want to get sued for labor violations by employees and simultaneously aggravate all its customers. You know what would be a great solution to both of these problems? TO OPEN THE SELF-CHECKOUT.
Overall, this Dollar General is a miserable place to shop and probably a miserable place to work. I won’t be spending money there in the future.

We are so lucky to have this store, if you look long enough you will probably find it and more. I know it is hard to get good help they are doing the best they can. I do get frustrated when I have to move big carts to see what is on the shelves, definitely needs cleaned up and organized.

Is it messy? Yes. Are there long lines? Yes. Is it a tiny store in a tiny town? Yes! Idk what people are expecting, but I got what I needed and I wouldn’t had found it elsewhere

The store is pretty picked over and def unorganized. Prices are ok and they do sometimes have good sales. The customer service really isn't that great, except in the afternoons when stephanie and Jodi are working. They keep things moving and both are extremely friendly ,helpful and both have always had smiles on their faces. Keep up the good work you two..it def doesn't go unnoticed

I gave three stars instead of 4 because there were multiple items well over a dollar. I'm outraged
