My girlfriend and I stayed at the Henrietta House for our fourth time about a month ago. On this particular visit, Marian was out of town, so Jasmine hosted us, with help from her dog, Moonbeam, and Marian's cat, Sunny. As always, our stay was excellent. Everything about the house, the food, and the hospitality is infused with Jasmine's, Marian's, Moonbeam's, and Sunny's care and love. My only wish is that when I visit, I didn't have to leave.Noteworthy details: I wasn't joking about Sunny's care and love. She's one of the friendliest cats that I've met, and, of course, she's adorable.

My husband and I made a pit stop here on our way to Maine (October 2022) for a stay and were blown away. Jasmine is an angel and made us the best vegan breakfast, which included the most delicious oatmeal (with homemade granola) we've ever had at a bed and breakfast, and the best black currant juice I've ever had (from a local business). Our room, the Henrietta suite, was divine and the view was an extraordinary autumn landscape (including their sweet goats and chickens!) See the photos in this post ? they do it a little justice, but trust me -- stay yourself.Food & drinks: Vegan friendly! ?

Came for the summer (September) Brimfield show and wanted to find a local bed & breakfast-the Henrietta House was very convenient for Brimfield and restaurants in both Mass and Connecticut. The home has a ton of history dating back to 1722! I loved the original wood floors and wooden beams throughout the home. They have a large property, though it isnt kept up the best. Keep in mind it is an older property in the woods and a working farm (chickens and goats) so the overgrown foliage and vines/weeds (kind of) work and give the home a rustic feel.Jasmine is a delight. She is the nicest young lady who is full of energy and information. Along with her dog Moonbeam, you’ll find her outside working in the garden or playing fetch with Moonbeam. After the first breakfast Jasmine realized what a coffee drinker I am, the next morning she went out of her way to make me a fresh pot outside my bedroom door and text me to let me know it was ready.Breakfast is downstairs-farm-to-table—-fresh eggs from the farm, goat milk and yogurt made from their goat milk, along with homemade biscuits with jams local from a farmer down the street. Marion and Jasmine will join you for breakfast and give you all the interesting details of the home as well as answer any questions you may have about the area or things to do. If you are an introvert this isnt the place for you-there is not an option for private dining. The bathroom has a special soap offered- locally made & free of chemicals-and does not dry out your skin. Please do yourself a favor and try the soap! Its amazing. My only negatives:The home (especially the room) could use a declutter and deep cleaning. The furniture in the room (we had the Henrietta suite) has seen better days. The sofa, dating to the mid 70’s, is old and rugged with faded and torn fabric. The only chair, sitting in the corner, has a cover that seems to be from the 60’s, which looks to be worn and dirty. There is an oddly placed blue dress hanging on the brick stack as well as many other items that werent needed. If they were to declutter and add newer more comfortable furniture, the room and inn would be spectacular. Also, it didnt feel like a bed and breakfast (business). Other than the friendliness and delicious breakfast it seemed as I was staying in an airbnb with no luxuries and no common area to relax. If you are traveling with someone and wanted a little space or one needed to take a work call, there didnt seem to be another room (living room/common area) that guest could use. It did not have the hospitality/hospitable vibe that other bed and breakfast do…No afternoon refreshments, no evening social hour, just breakfast and a room. I am not knocking the inn, I had a fine stay, Im just letting you know what to expect and the areas where they could improve their service.Rooms: Older-furniture. Needs attention to detail.Walkability: Other than walking trails you cannot walk to anything-Noteworthy details: Rooms could use deep cleaning and de-cluttering

This was such a charming and comfortable stay. Breakfast was delicious and the room was so peaceful. It rained during my whole stay, but that did not detract at all from its beauty. Highly recommend!

We had such a lovely 2-night stay here. The home and property are absolutely gorgeous, our room was comfortable, but what stood out above all were the delicious breakfasts served each morning. Marion and Jasmine were so helpful and kind. If we're in the area again, we know where to go!

If you are looking for a place to stay in this area, Henrietta is a very good option (especially given that there aren't many options near UConn). The host would greet you and make breakfast for you, which is not a common experience nowadays. I enjoyed my stay.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was simple and comfortable with a lovely view of the barn, goats, chickens and gardens. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Marion and Jasmine were wonderful to chat with and eager to make our stay pleasurable. And the breakfasts were delicious. We enjoyed the trails adjacent to the Henrietta property. We hope to check out other nearby trails next time we come. Yes! We hope to return.

Fantastic! I stayed here one night while moving myself from Boston to NY and I wish I had planned ahead and stayed 2 nights. This house is an absolute gem inside and out with beautiful antique decor throughout. The property is lined with trees and nestled back from the main road. While I didn’t have time to check them out, I was told there are trails behind the home. I did however get to say hello to the goats and chickens after a delicious breakfast including the best local black current juice I’ve ever had! If you are traveling through this area and need somewhere to stay or are looking for a quiet getaway I would greatly recommend taking the opportunity to stay here. You won’t regret it!

My partner and I spent our anniversary here and it was lovely! We stayed in the Henrietta Suite and it was absolutely beautiful and cozy. Quite possibly the best sleep i’ve gotten in a while. The animals are so friendly and great company! Marian and Jasmine are wonderful and the breakfast was delicious. Jasmine was so helpful recommending places to eat for dinner and places check out as well! I’m recommending a stay to all of my friends and family. Such a refreshing experience away from the city.

Henrietta’s was perfect in every way, we needed a quiet night away with our dog and the grounds with the walking trail behind was more than we expected. The mile and a half loop through fields and canyons was perfect after dinner and when we got up in the morning. Jasmine is an amazing host and our dog can’t wait to go back and play with Moon!

Great place for a romantic getaway less than 2 hours from Boston. Circa 1720 farmhouse sensitively updated with all modem amenities. Insanely comfortable beds. Fabulous breakfasts using the homes own eggs and goat milk. Scintillating breakfast conversation with our hostess, a retired PhD with extensive travel history. We had a great time here will decibel return.

What a delightful, delicious and informative experience my friends and I had at this lovely house. We went for their tea and it was amazing. Scrumptious scones, fresh fruit tarts, pastry with pear preserves all with steaming hot tea....perfect. To top off the experience in this 1723 house we were treated to a tour by the fascinating owner who has traveled the world and shares her finds with her guests. The other hostess was as welcoming as could be and served us such tasty treats. The house is on a farm of goats and free range chickens, quintessential Colonial New England. Put this on your bucket list, you won't be disappointed.
