Such a a great place to bring your pets. Just so nice and helpful. The staff are great and do a great job with out dogs. You can tell that they love what they do. We have been going here for about 4 years now and there is no other place I would want to take our dog. The work that they do is exceptional.

Dr. Morganti, Kim B and staff are absolute angels. They gave me two and a half more years with my baby when I thought I was going to lose her to a heart infection that no one else could diagnose. Tom Morganti is an incredibly intelligent, insightful and deeply caring veterinarian. The best I’ve seen in the 17 years of my baby’s life. I cannot express in words that gratitude I have for their care and adoration for the love of my life, my Cali girl. They are genuine, caring and amazing humans. They never turned me away, always fit me in for my emergencies, always remembered Cali. I don’t know what I’d do without you. Special thanks to Kim B, you have such a beautiful heart. Thank you for loving my little girl and taking such good care of her. I am eternally grateful. ?

Had seen Dr. Morganti previously for PE and tooth cleaning for my dog. He was lovely and provided excellent care.
Brought my dog back about a month ago for what I thought may be a UTI. Unable to see Dr. Morganti, was told that he was booking weeks out. She was given an antibiotic. Prior to finishing the antibiotic, she started having a problem with her eyes. I looked up the drug and it was clear that this drug can cause an adverse reaction to the tear ducts which stops the dog from making tears, specifically in my dog's breed. I brought her in for evaluation and was told that it wasn't from the drug and thus not given the regimen of medications that are needed to treat this problem despite my dog having no eye problems prior to using this antibiotic and the problem beginnning during the course of the antibiotic. If left untreated, this condition can result in corneal ulcers, significant pain and blindness. I called the office later in the day expressing concern again that I believed that my dog was having a drug reaction and I was met with hostility and dismissiveness and told that the Dr. doesnt think that is the problem but I can have the drug to treat it if I want it. At this point, I explained that I want my dog properly diagnosed and treated and I don't want to just be given a drug with no buy in from Vet.
Due to the hostile treatment that I received after questioning the diagnosis, I decided to take my dog to the Emergency Vet at significant additional expense who diagnosed my dog with the drug reaction (she was making zero tears on her own per tear test that Avon Vet didnt bother doing) and expressed surprise that she was prescribed the antibiotic that caused the issue in the first place because it is no longer used in modern practice as first line treatment. I was told this a second time by another local vet who is now treating my dog.
Would not usually leave a google review, but to my amusement I received a letter today discharging me from the practice which read that they are "sorry that I was not happy with the care or recommendations that were provided". I clearly had no intention of returning based on above experience and which the practice must have deduced when receiving records from emergency vet. The purpose of sending such a letter given the cirumstances are not clear and again lack compassion for client, pet or experience. My dog now needs months of follow up care which I have already started elsewhere.
Overall very negative experience and I would not recommend. Some compassion and perhaps listening to a client with a valid concern would have gone a long way in this instance and would have saved time, energy, money and a vet/client/patient-relationship.

I have been taking my pets to Avon Vet for decades, after seeing many other vets in the Hartford area over the last 50 years. All the doctors and staff at Avon provide compassionate and knowledgeable care for my animals, dealing with a wide variety of routine and emergency issues. I have to drive a bit further to see get to them, but it has always been worth the extra effort to go to Avon Veterinary Clinic.

You might think that a veterinary clinic located in chic Avon would take every opportunity to milk its clients. Not the case here. Quality veterinary service at very reasonable prices. Highly recommend.
