About Farmington Valley Arts Center
At the Farmington Valley Arts Center, our mission is to enrich lives through the power of art. We are deeply committed to fostering a vibrant community where individuals can unleash their creativity, expand their knowledge, showcase their work, exchange ideas, and inspire one another. Open to all ages, abilities, and backgrounds, we offer education, gallery exhibits, events, and a supportive network of professional artists. Established as a nonprofit organization 501(c)(3) in 1974, the Farmington Valley Arts Center finds its home within the historic red sandstone buildings of the former Climax Fuse Factory in Avon, CT.

I have taken many classes here and improved my skills in each one. More importantly to me, the instructors foster a warm environment that fuels creativity at every level. I'm looking forward to many more creative opportunities.

Love this place! I took painting classes with Maurice here. They were great and a lot of fun. It's a great place to support local artists, buy holiday gifts and just do something creative.
