A lot of companies send you a QR code to bring to the place for them scan to make a label of for shipping. This place can't process QR codes. How does a company who's business is sending packages not be able to scan QR codes? They sent me to Walgreens who can do it. A drug/retail store can do it but a store who's business is shipping packages can't.

The loss of my mother recently brought me from Washington State to Avon, CT to clear out a home and organize a funeral. It was stressful and I had no idea how we were going to manage everything in such a short amount of time. Fortunately there are good businesses run and staffed by wonderful people who showed amazing compassion for my family and me. The team at Pak Mail in Avon really set the bar high with their outstanding service and follow through. Malton, Patty, Lyle and the rest of the team balanced their professional duties with a level of kindness and understanding that exceeded any expectations I could have had. They expertly packaged each item, prepared them for shipment to multiple destinations, and found the best transportation and prices possible. Items are arriving at their destinations now and they’re all in perfect condition. I hope anyone else needing a shipping company doesn’t have the same situation I had, but if you do need a reliable shipper who will earn your business and provide an excellent service I highly recommend Pak Mail in Avon, CT. 5 🌟

In July of 2024 I paid PakMail of Avon on Rt. 44 approximately $388 to package & ship a valuable item to Florida. This $388 was in addition to the cost of insuring the item. Part of the item arrived broken, which made the set worthless. I contacted PakMail numerous times by phone, email & in person about reimbursement for the item & the cost of packaging & shipping. They refused to pay me for the item until I signed a release for all other claims. After receiving the payment for the value of the item, I was told they would not reimburse the cost of packaging & shipping. Their reason was that I didn't purchase separate insurance to cover this cost. During the 45 minutes I was in the store completing the transaction no one ever explained that these costs were not covered by the insurance I had already purchased, nor was I offered the option to purchase this additional insurance. Unfortunately, I now have no recourse to collect the $388. I will never use this store again for any shipping or other needs. FYI - I have never posted anything less than a 5 star review. This place deserves less than 1.

I’m not one to write a bad review but this is the worst shipping experience I’ve ever had. I do auctions quite often and have never ever had a packer bud a custom huge box to ship all of my items together instead of asking me for preference, they proceeded to do this. Instead of the $100 to $150 fee, this shipping was almost $400. When trying to go over this with them, they would not give me an option to change boxes. They wanted to charge me for their labor to repack my items, when I should have been asked in the first place if I wanted to pay for the shipping on a massive box (this is very common knowledge for packers and should be a practice and is with everyone packing company I’ve worked with). They took no accountability, offered me no solutions without additional cost, and ended up costing me an additional $200. I hope no one else has a similar experience.

I went into Pakmail today and found that I had misprinted my return label. The woman helping me went above and beyond to help me get a new label, but also spent time fixing my new label to my package. She went the extra mile, joked about how well I had taped up my return, and was genuinely kind. This person saved my lunch break, saved me a trip back home and was a bright spot in my day! Thank you!!!

Malton at Pak Mail Avon was outstanding in his help, customer service and professionalism! I had a very last minute request for a pick up, pack, and ship. He managed to step in and have it all taken care of in hours! So impressed with him and this company!

I feel that I am being generous with two stars. BECAUSE: up until now, I had had nothing but good experiences there. HOWEVER, the last time I went, I was grilled & interrogated. They gave me some nonsense about “not being in their system “, and proceeded to demand all kinds of info about me. I don’t know if their procedures have changed, but this is not a store that I am eager to go back to! If this “hurts their feelings “, imagine how I felt as a customer, after that wretched ordeal! The clerk watched me address the package with a sharpie, then proceeded to cover it where their own label. Without bothering to tell me in the first place!; ever so considerate, eh? I am not looking forward to doing business with this company again!
