The Pickin' Patch is a charming pick-your-own farm established in 1666, originally a dairy and tobacco farm. It is especially popular during autumn, offering a spacious parking lot right off a busy road. Visitors can enjoy hayrides and explore a pumpkin patch where they can pick their own pumpkins or shop in the farm store. The store features a variety of products, including fresh produce, jams, jellies, cookies, gourds, and hot sauces, making it a delightful stop for families. The farm is known for its beautiful views, including the Heublein Tower and stunning fall foliage. Although some visitors noted that the hayride was not in service during their visit, the farm still offers a great selection of pumpkins, flowers, and apples at decent prices. The farm stand is cute and well-stocked, with tasty jams and apple fritters available, although some guests found the fritter stand closed earlier than expected. Overall, The Pickin' Patch provides a lovely atmosphere for enjoying the harvest season and is a perfect spot for anyone seeking small-town farm vibes.
Over the years the options here have dwindled. You might as well buy whats at the front registers bc ull otherwise spend an hour romaging thru rotting pumpkins in an insect infested field.

Nice place but very expensive to buy pumpkins! Good experience and fun for kids but would never go back for pumpkins. Spent $70 for 2 pumpkins I could have paid $8 a piece for other places.

They used to have tractor/hay rides and their site said they did, but there were no rides available. Same thing happened last year. They have plenty of pumpkins and fall treats, but do not go for the tractor / hay rides.
