“A newly opened halal market. It offers a good alternative for Muslims. The prices can be a bit expensive compared to other halal markets. It is useful to research the products you will buy, but the meat products are very nice.”

“I typically don’t shop for groceries at this establishment, as it’s not my usual choice. However, I must say they offer the absolute best freshly baked bread available. The aroma alone as you step inside is enough to draw you in, and the loaves are perfectly golden-brown, crusty on the outside while remaining soft and warm on the inside. Each bite is a delightful experience, making it worth the visit, even if I don’t often find myself here for other items.”

Enjoy shopping there during holidays they get in a nice selection of unique holiday foods. Have also used both delivery and pick up options. Never any issues. Highly recommended!”
“Their fruit could be better...alot of times when im looking for bananas or strawberries the bananas are really bruised and a few times the strawberries are next to impossible to find not moldy ones...on the bright side its not typically overly packed. They always are organized and 9/10 havr everything im looking for. The staff is amazing and super kind and helpful as well. Tuesdays are my favorite days to go to this specific aldi”

I found dried chiles, Mexican zucchini, achiote, spices, hibiscus and Mexico Lindo habanera sauce that I was looking for. The vegetables are well priced, the cilantro is fresh and not frozen like other places I've been. Happy to find this place.”

The staff are always very sweet and answer any questions and my scripts are always filled in a timely manner. I will never go anywhere else. They truly are amazing.”

“We were in Hartford for the weekend, and were hungry for lunch as we were heading out of town. We looked for something interesting on yelp, and found the Mercado. We went in, and went to the last counter down the line, as they had these amazing Columbian Tamales. I had never seen such big and round tamales. They are to die for. Perfectly cooked, well spiced, and just simply delicious. Went very well with the fried plantains. Very much enjoyed.”
“I am writing to thank April and Paul in the bakery department for all their help and hard work on December 31, 2023. I had placed and paid for an order approximately 2 weeks prior for 2 large trays of breakfast items for New Years Day. My plan was to just run in and pick the trays up. For whatever reason the order was never filled. April and Paul went to work immediately, as busy as they were, to fill the order very quickly for me. “This past week I was trying to organize a lobster bake for the 4th of July down at the shore. Having called quite a few places it seemed Price Chopper had the best deal. My concern was that they would run out. I called and asked them if they would hold 20 lobsters for me. Initially on the first call they said they don’t hold lobsters however there should be plenty. I then hung up the phone and called back and asked them when a good time to come in and get said lobster would be. I was then told we could only get 6. Long story short there was a miscommunication amongst employees. However after speaking to the manger they promised me 20 since there was a misunderstanding. Long story short I got 20 lobsters and I can’t even begin to express my gratitude to Steve L. He went above and beyond to assist me. He was patient, friendly and so kind. He is an absolutely wonderful employee. Not only did he take the time to help with ice and packing but also helped me out to my car with the cooler full of lobsters. Steve L if you read this, I can not thank you enough for making my friends and families 4th of July celebration so amazing. You truly were the catalyst for making us all have such a special celebration and day. You deserve a raise, party and a celebration for your dedication and excellence in customer service at Price Chopper! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“Over all, not a bad store, just in a bad area. They have decent prices, a good selection of produce, and very good sales sometimes. Not the cleanest store, and they play offensive music through the speakers. But, more pros than cons.”
“Update on Friday morning November 15 about 10:30 am my issue with the stop and shop store card namely linking up the rewards . Well it just happened to be the store manager comes over to the same check out stand where I was loading up my groceries and I asked him if he could help me out with my problem linking up the rewards on my stop and shop go card . I told him everything concerning this matter and he gives me a phone number to call and after I got home I called it and the problem was resolved,it turned out that when I was linking up the rewards on the card I was creating a new account and that's why it wasn't matching my information. What I wasn't doing was signing into my stop and shop account again problem solved thank you stop and shop namely this manager . Again demonstrating his professionalism here.
The mistake/error was mine and I own it

“Clean store and friendly staff! The staff go above and beyond in terms of friendliness. The store itself is large and well organized. I am giving 4/5 stars because the store does not have a gluten free section like other locations (specifically the Big Y in West Hartford). While they have gluten free tags next to the prices, there’s not one spot where gluten free stuff is kept. It makes it more difficult and time consuming to shop. After speaking with a staff member, it seemed to be a common request customers had. I am hopeful the store will create a gluten free section (even a small one) as it is incredibly helpful for people who have celiac/ gluten allergy/ intolerance.”
