This has to be the BEST Ulta in Connecticut- especially the salon. If you want a place where the possibilities are beautiful and hate has no home then this is where you should be!

RACIST Employee and extremely UNPROFESSIONAL. Cashier with long red hair was blatantly racist. Kept using a Spanish phrase, I asked her to stop speaking Spanish as it was offensive and she wouldn't stop. This happened today (Sunday May 5). Hopefully store reading this and will take care of situation. Her colleague cashier was a witness and looked very uncomfortable by the situation.

Unfortunately, there is a small selection of cosmetics for men. I know you can buy them online, but I have to check the scent :-) I know what my man likes.

Store is well stocked but the brand representatives that visit are really aggressive. I walked in with my boyfriend, who is a skincare novice and doesn't have much experience or knowledge of products, and the employee (who told me the store didn't have specific brands I asked about that I found by myself later) handed us off to a brand rep that we thought was just another employee until she made a beeline to a specific brand and tried to sell him on an 80 dollar face scrub. He took it to be polite and tried to ditch it somewhere else in the store but she kept following us and staring at us and eventually confronted us when he had picked a gift set from a trusted, beginner-accessible brand, and tried to get him to swap it out for a gift set from her brand that wouldn't meet his needs (it included an anti aging, skin firming neck cream. We are in our 20s). The cashier was nice but we feel like we can't go back to this store on weekends when a brand rep might be there because the shopping experience was so nerve wracking and confrontational. I had no time to browse because we were hiding from this weird lady.

First time visiting my location, due to a gift card I received. Never felt so uncomfortable at a store. I was being followed the entire time. There’s lots to look at in the store, does not mean I’m shoplifting. I ended up finding a product with the shade I was looking for that was also Vegan / Cruelty free. It seems I had to be a bit aggressive to stop being followed. I will not be returning to ULTA EVER AGAIN !!

this store has by far the least friendly; most unwelcoming customer service I have even encountered despite my many years of ordering on line from ULTA, as of my experience this past Friday morning while trying to return an online order, I shall no longer ever order and/or patronize ULTA the staff needs to be trained in traditional customer service and needs to treat everyone who enters the store as a valued customer, which was sorely lacking at the time of my visit
