I noticed a screw in my tire at 5:50 on Saturday. I called the west Hartford store and was told if I am there by 6:40 they would take care of it for me. I drive from Simsbury and get there at 6:30 to be told by unpleasant, rude, Jon he’s got no time today. So now car is stranded in west Hartford. He also withheld the managers information from me

Family has been using this PBs for a couple decades now, always had great service done in a timely manner, decent part prices, and are willing to answer any questions you might have.

I had the best experience at Pep Boys!! Their prices for new tires are great! The staff was so nice and kept me informed at each step of my tire servicing. You can even watch them working on your car, as they have a large window in the waiting room!
I highly recommend Pep Boys!!

I will NOT!!! Recommend this place, read the comments before me. Don’t know since when but the same problem persists with short personal. Came by 3:15 pm when the appointment is for 4:00 pm and right now is about 6:40 pm and the car still inside almost to finish, check with the woman at the counter and all she said “we apologize” yeah your apologies doesn’t change or fix the problem. When you go to any other appointment you show up 10 min before your appointment time and at least they call you at 10-15 min later not two o three hours later. Mr. Perez resignation.

This shop is very unprofessional. The person who was at the check in desk was so mean looking, never smiled. Also a nasty attitude. Poor customer/business skills never before witnessed by me. After they supposedly examined the brakes, they stated all 4 of my brakes were at level 3. Brand new brakes are 11. After I brought my car to Firestone and a car dealership both told me my brakes where no where near a 3. That I had plenty of brake life left. Pep Boys is a corrupt business and needs to be investigated.

This place is terrible they messed up my car and try to blame me for the damage. The supervisor every said the F word to me and my husband over the phone and was really unprofessional even when we went in person they were rude
I don’t recommend this place to anyone

Price was extrem high for rear brakes n rotor. Refuse to resurface my rotor which was new 3 months earlier

Needed new brakes brought my car to Pep Boys and after 3000 miles I had to bring my car back. I work from home and only drive a couple of days a week. So when I brought my car back to Pep Boys and they said it was my brakes. I was a little taken aback. But most of the repairs were done under their warranty. I still paid over $400. So buyer BEWARE!!!

They were great. I scheduled my appointment and showed up early, expecting to sit there for the extra time but they took my car right away and had the price up front for my oil change before anything happened. It was nice to know what I was going to pay and not have to wait until after. And they were all extremely nice and knowledgeable.
