This store is a dream!! I was able to source all the ingredients I needed for various Filipino dishes!I recently moved to CT for NYC and was missing having easy access to Pinoy food and ingredients and was so happy to find this place! Very warm and friendly hospitality also! I cannot wait to try their hot and catered food. I will definitely be a regular here.

I love that I have Tindahan City as a quick food option near my new home. Be forewarned -- there are two Tindahan City businesses in separate suites in the same plaza and they each have a Yelp page. One is an Asian market. It looked good, but I didn't buy anything there once I realized it wasn't the restaurant part of the business. The restaurant serves cafeteria style Filipino food. I've had mixed results in my four or so visits, but I enjoy exploring and the good outweighs the average. They generally have a few stew type dishes, white rice, lumpia (small fried spring rolls) and Pancit (a stir fried veggie and noodle dish). I don't know the names of the stews but they've ranged from average to very good in terms of flavor and texture. I recall having ones featuring veggies, pork and chicken. The lumpia, which are a Filipino favorite of mine, were disappointing on the day I had them. They were made in advance. So they lacked the crispy texture I like and also weren't particularly warm. This is something that needs to be made when you order, as I've seen similar places do. Similarly, the Pancit was barely warm on my first visit. I think it would have been very good when it was first made. It was a bit better the second time I visited. I've enjoyed some sort of BBQ pork skewer, which was good chewy and sweet.I haven't explored them yet, but I understand some of the Tindahan deserts are popular, including one called Halo Halo. I'm not going to say Head Over Head Over to Tindahan City. Too obvious.Four Stars

The store is not as big as I thought it would be and some shelves didn’t have much in it. I guess they weren’t restocked yet. But of course I like that I can find Filipino food and groceries here. Prices are a little higher compared to other Asian stores I’ve been to. Nevertheless, customer service is excellent!

Brought back the memories [1970-72] of serving as Peace Corps Volunteers [wife and children] in the Philippines. Tindihan City has two establishments close by but not side to side. I was in the grocery one looking for the prepared food. Found it and got a Chicken Siopao [like a stuffed dumpling] that was soft, doughy and tasty. It turned out to be a quick snack. We used to buy them in Rizal Park when we visited the city from our little house out in Balayan, Batangas. They rest of the food was for dinner tonight; Pork Skewers which were delicious and coated with that glaze that exists nowhere else. Also got a good fresh portion of Pancit [noodles, chicken and veggies] which unfortunately had some gristle that took away some happiness. Will return and try out some other food memories soon!

My mother is from the Philippines, so I grew up enjoying various Filipino foods. There aren't many places in CT, so when my family found Tindahan City a few years ago we were thrilled. The market offers many native Filipino and other Asian items including ingredients, snacks, and beauty products. The restaurant always offers fresh, authentic Filipino dishes - every time I've ordered a meal, I have been very satisfied. In addition to the dishes, I usually order a bubble tea which is always good. During the summer I love treating myself to the Halo-Halo - it's very filling and absolutely delicious. If you're ever in the area, I highly suggest stopping by!

Visiting Cali and looked for some vegan food options. Long story short, I'm addicted to this food and am now seeing a therapist. Portion sizes are large, food has amazing flavor, and always tastes fresh.
