I drove 20 minutes here thinking it was a farm setting from all of your deceiving photos. I wanted to show my 10 month old some cows maybe a few other animals. The place looks abandoned, I changed his diaper in the parking lot and then left. There's no farm or even barn or anything. Sucks.

Me and my family have been going here for generations, always a great atmosphere and great local service. I heard they have the go ahead to bring the gas pumps back that'd be awesome! They could even keep the same price per gallon from years back ;)

So we decided to bring the little one on her first trip to see a cow. Mind you she was very excited and moo'ed in the back seat on the car ride over to the farm. The only drawback was I think everyone else had the same idea that day and the farm was jacked with people. There was a lot of waiting in lines. I was all worth it this a great farm and the owners and their family members really held it together and did a great job. Got to try the Farmers Cow Maple milk and it was very tasty. All in all it ended up being a great day just a little longer than planned.

I have always loved to drink whole milk. None of that 1 or 2% for me. I always used half and half or light cream in my coffee. Not anymore. Farmers Cow whole milk is, hands down, the finest milk there is. I can't believe that it has the same percentage of butterfat that all the competitors do (maybe it doesn't and that's the difference). I can use it in my coffee though. The rest of my family likes skim and 1%,,,,,yuck......they would gag on this stuff. I even got our cat hooked on it. If someone puts out skim or 1%, which she always drank in the past, she will not touch it. If you love milk, like I do, you gotta try.....

Being a CT Native over the past couple of years I have noticed "The Farmer's Cow" products in local grocery stores but not knowing much be about them - I assumed that they were a contract farm and not even a local one at that. After the in depth tour I was lucky enough to participate in as part of the Yelp Field Trip - I am sorry that I literally judged a book by its cover BUT so happy that I can now change my opinion of The Farmer's Cow. From the moment we entered their Main Building we were offered a warm beverage and settled in to hear a brief history of the farm - The main farm is Greywall farm which has been in production for 25 years. The company itself was started to educate and show the value of agriculture and also as a business so consumers would know where their food came from. Although the company started as a way to expose people to local agriculture, consumers asked where they could purchase milk - so that is how "The Farmer's Cow" came in existence. Over the years they have expanded their reach to include other dairy products, ice cream and more recently coffee and cider. Again their products are produced by working with local producers. After the history we were lucky to be given a tour owner's to the grounds which house 550 milking cows and about 1000 total heads. Although we went on the "off season" - we were told that during the warmer months they have a lot of farm tours and events for families. All the farmers on the farm we spoke with had a passion for what they do - the best quote I got was that you "can't make cows give you mike, they give it to you". In that respect - they treat these animals with the utmost respect and love, providing them with a nutritious diet with feed grown mostly on the farm. Another surprise that awaited us was a brief talk from the owner of Mystic Cheese whom has been in production for about a year - and using his "cheese pod" is able to produce some of the freshest cheese I have tasted! It helps when you have some of the freshest milk available. Their cheese is out of this world. Thanks to all the employees of Greywall Farm. I am now definitely a fan of this local Connecticut argri-business

I really cant say enough good things about the entire Farmer's Cow family. After visiting here for a tour, we learned how the multi-generational, family farm is run and operated. The folks at Farmer's Cow are truly dedicated to their animals, their product, and their farm. Its interesting to hear how they help support CT in many different ways, from preserving land and working with other farms to offer residents a local food option. They want to help educate customers on the importance of local busines, and they certainly do a great job! If you get the chance, bring the whole family for an educational (and fun) tour. Make sure you also check out Mystic Cheese, which is a ground breaking, cheese making venture located on the property!

This is an awesome place for everyone to learn about farming. This farm is part of the The Farmers Cow brand, which consists of 6 Farms in Connecticut. I highly recommend taking the tour to learn about the farm and how Mystic Cheese is also part of the experience. Mystic Cheese makes the freshest cheese anywhere. 5 minutes after the milk is drawn the cow, it is brought over for cheese making. The setup for making the cheese is really awesome. The cows are really comfortable and are part of the family. Every animal is treated with respect. The farm not only has milk but also coffee, apple cider and cheeses! This is great experience for the family!
