Spent an hour and a half there to open up a savings account and a joint checking account and had to leave with only the savings account setup. The woman helping us was very nice and obviously new so I don’t blame her. She kept going to ask a colleague for help who could obviously see we were there for a ridiculous amount of time. He should of taken the initiative to come over and finish setting up the account.

It was a pleasure working with Nelson North and the team at the Branford Connex. Connex truly has the members best interest in mind. Highly recommend.

Do not use for investments: when tax time comes and you need to know your contributions to your account they wont have the information unless you pay a fee. That is after you go through endless hoops of waiting on phone being told to talk to the mutual fund, who tells you to talk to the bank, who tells you to talk to the mutual fund....

Nice location. Everything is remotely done from North Haven.

The witch that works at the Branford office is mean spirited. Unbank with us means less customer service.

My issue with the credit union is the hours of operation. I don't understand why they close so early.

Awful service. Constantly trying to cross-sell products and services.. Will actually pull a credit report when opening a deposit account (yes, a deposit account). The office is so tiny that information provided is shared by everyone. The remote teller is just strange.

What a horrible experience here! They have no live Tellers, and the electronic Teller that I spoke with was very rude and condescending. I would never recommend this bank to anyone, period. I was from out of town, so I didn't know. I should have read the comments beforehand. It's like pulling teeth to move or receive money here. Invest elsewhere!

AWFUL, STAY AWAY! Went to Connex Branford branch for an auto loan. Gave them the year make and mileage as they requested along with the purchase agreement. They needed a credit app filled out so that was completed. Interest rate was much lower than the dealership so that was good. THEN after all of this, they come back and say the mileage exceeds the mileage limit the provide auto loans for!! So credit score went down for the credit check they ran when we were never even eligible due to the mileage! They also stated that a checking account had to be opened in order to get an auto loan.. wondering if that’s true or just a dishonest way to get commission on a new checking account!I called the call center in North Haven and a very nice woman helped me and advised I call credit bureau to dispute the credit inquiry. So I will. But don’t walk away... RUN AWAY from at least the Branford branch!

Friendly staff, excellent service. The only negative is that cash transactions (deposits and withdrawals) are only done in the office via video with a remote site. That works smoothly, but it is not the same as a local teller.

When you walk in, it's very small compared to any traditional or newer bank and you might be wondering where the Teller is like I was. Don't be alarmed if there's noone at the 3 desks to speak to someone, you simply place your driver's license on the bottom left side of the arm machine, tap the screen and a live person teleconferences in real time and handles all of your wants or needs. If they cannot then they'll ask you to wait in the lobby and someone can further assist you there. I've only seen this method in a few countries and was shocked to see it and use it here in Connecticut, let alone the United States. I spoke with someone behind the desk and they assisted me with kindness and they were efficient.

Went in to apply to refinance my current car loan. The gentleman (branch manger) that I met seemed very nice and professional. However, they quoted me rates and terms that did NOT my car did not qualify for. So, they said that I could lower my payment, extend the term of my current loan. The next day I get a call saying that my car does not qualify for the terms that they quoted me and that the rate went up and the term shortened. It is now that I start to get upset, because my 819 credit score has not dropped... If I had known that the rate would be higher and the term shorter (payment jumping $9 a month) I never would have applied for refinance. Very unhappy with the service. I am going to go in and close my account that they made me sign up for in order to refinance my vehicle. Not a happy camper over here. Please reply if you would like, and let me know what can be done. Thank you.
