I was at the store today.. to begin with the app it stated that there was 36 items available in store. I needed 18 of them, store associate said the didn't have any available. then I proceed to check and receive the worst customer service she wouldn't ring me out because I didn't have my Home Depot card and she didn't want to lookup it. I went to customer service and the lady told me to go upfront and the associate before I got to the register said to me. I'm not taking you; without asking me.. not the first time I get really nasty customer service. I would never come back to this store.

I can see why this version of the HD only gets 2 stars. Sorry I can't give it that much. I have been here 2 days in a row between 4-6 pm. Both days all human registers are closed and the self checkout is the only way out. I generally have a problem with this as I'm not being paid by these businesses to be a check out clerk. But in this case it is the time of day when people are getting out of work and stop by on the way home. Mistake! There were at least 6 people with the cargo carts with lumber, sheet rock, 4x8 sheets of plywood trying to squeeze into this choke point and check out. One guy watching, and I say watching because he wasn't pointing out an open register or anything. I passed at least 8 employees chatting with each other or better yet watching one person working. Is it too much to ask to keep a couple of registers open? I'm a regular at HD but this is the worst managed store I have ever been to.

I went a month ago to look for a new door I got the I wanted they also told me I would have to pay $40 for someone to come a measure my door that way they could tell me which door will fit in my front door the guy came took the the measurements told me they was going to contact me and now it's been a month. So I went to depot ask for my money back told them I didn't pay for someone just to measure and not contact me now I'm going to take my money and go somewhere else horrible service on Home Depot

My $10 bill got stuck in the machine upon using the self-checkout kiosk. When I flagged down a Home Depot sales rep, the young lady told me that I did not insert any money into the device after explaining the issue to her. The young lady then flagged her manager Jerry, who also came to assist. Jerry performed a function on the screen manually and told me the same thing, that I did not insert money into the kiosk. The young lady then grabbed my purchase items, brought them to another kiosk, scanned them, and told me to pay. I refused to pay for the items because I explained the situation to the sales rep and manager, and I wanted my money back. A third person came to assist in physically opening the kiosk and found that my $10 bill was stuck. At this point, I demanded an apology. The manager, Jerry, jokingly gave me an apology. The sales rep who took my items before tried to get me to pay for my items again. I refused the purchase altogether. As a paying customer, I do not appreciate the accusations the sales rep and Jerry put on me. I would not recommend this location to anyone else, and I do not recommend service, especially from the management team, as this was an awful experience.

This Home Depot is my hometown store. Essentially it has everything the other stores have, my only criticism is the fact that some items are not the same as other stores nearby. For example, whenever I visit the Fairfield store in the front, outside they normally have grills and other items in the front- but some of the items the Fairfield store has are not the same which are out in the front of the Bridgeport store. The Fairfield store has all types of Weber grills and other high end models but in the Bridgeport store you have the lower models. I wonder why. But essentially for all most hardware, tools and paint needs it is about the same. One thing I will say is the employees at the Bridgeport store seem to be a lot nicer.

Big shout out to Tony G. Saw me walking to the registers with a tool I needed actually stopped me to show me the same tool in a kit form for less money. This is great service. I usually shop a different HD closer to my home. This store ( Bridgeport) was my go to store for many years and despite the mileage distance it now will be again. Thank you Tony G.

DO NOT BOTHER TO PATRONIZE this store if you have any expectation for a positive customer service and management experience. I’ve long patronized Home Depot and have never been more disappointed with the management. After waiting 20 minutes for one simple lumber cut I decided to stop shopping here
