Been coming to this place for years. Used to be $120 to mount and balance. Now the new owners jacked it to $190. This place is an absolute rip off will never return with these ridiculous prices.

I scheduled an appointment for an oil change and a tune up today. I left the car at Fast Lane at 8 am when they opened. I was contacted later in the morning informing me that I would need front brake pads and some additional work done. I approved this work because it was necessary. Around 2:15 pm my vehicle was ready. At that time, I was informed that they never did the oil change. Nearly a $1,000 in repairs and the oil change was never done. I learned that Fast Lane is under new ownership. Not a good way to start their business!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I went in for a possible suspension issue after making impact with a flat-edge curb. I noticed a crunch when I was turning the wheel, and I could feel it in the brake pedal and floor, my vehicle was leaning towards the impacted wheel, and I noticed some heavy vibration while riding. I suspected either a suspension issue or that the impact to the curb had knocked off one of the clip-on wheel weights and my tires were no longer balanced. I had driven the 8% grade hills from Hartford down Route 44 in traffic and at 95 degree afternoon heat. The mechanic who inspected was primarily focused on brakes since the driver’s side wheel was throwing a lot of heat. I have a mechanic I trust in my hometown who does my brakes and warranties them out when brake issues arise. Since these are front discs and rear drums, the drums come out of whack sometimes and the front brakes do extra work. They’ve always gotten hot. I don’t deny the brakes should get looked at since they’re probably due, but I’m also not dense enough to believe that the brakes were the primary issue because the change in drivability was sudden and immediately after the impact. When I tried explaining that I wasn’t concerned with the brakes at the moment, he seemed annoyed and dismissed me. He continued making a scene about how hot the wheel was to a service gentleman. When it was time to find out what the deal was with the car, he said “you have a stuck caliper causing warped rotors and heat so we need to do all four wheels”. No mention of the suspension and nothing about possibility of tire imbalance. So it was clear he was not interested in finding the actual problem that I wanted addressed unless I shelled out for the brakes. I left.I wobbled back home and saw my mechanic who found the missing wheel weight. The service gentlemen at the front desk were kind and courteous.

Although service was quick and efficient, the price for an oil change was $20 more expensive than the price on their website. Also, a courtesy vacuuming (also on website) is no longer offered.

I called ahead to schedule for an oil change. I was told one price over the phone and charged another after, a $30 difference. The service was quick but I will not be returning.Service: Oil change

I dont know how John did it , but he found a buyer for his business that has an identical passion for customer service and always going above and beyond. In addition Robert the new owner is keeping prices reasonable. In the past, most towns had several reliable owner operated garages. Those days are gone and we are lucky we have Robert to carry on the tradition. Thanks,MarkServices: General repairs & maintenance

They charged me for fuel injection clean out n they didn’t put it in. When I called them back the main man told me he personally put it in. Not once but twice. I told him he couldn’t of because he needs a key from me to get into gas tank. He lied n didn’t not say sorry. Then he hung up on me. Called back n he would not answer phone. Scammers at this place. All he had to do was say “Oops Im sorry”. I would of accepted that.

I've been going to Fast Lane for about 5 years now and don't plan on going anywhere else. I have recommended them to numerous friends and family members. Owners are amazing, the staff is always so nice and accommodating. They don't "sell" you services unless truly needed. If you're looking for a family owned, efficient and honest place to service your car, Fast Lane is it!Service: Oil change
