Roaring Brook Nature Center is a great place to learn about wildlife, habitats, and the natural world. It features numerous informative displays with local animals and birds, including taxidermied specimens. Visitors can see animals inside and outside in the birds of prey cages. The center does wildlife rehabilitation, offering a chance to learn about that process. It is connected to a children's museum and has a warm educational atmosphere that is great for kids and adults. The beautiful grounds include several nature trails through the woods, along rushing waters, with birds singing and big old trees. The trails range from short to long, are easy to follow with mostly easy terrain, and feature nature signs. There is a picnic area with plenty of tables. The center hosts several events throughout the year, summer programs, and activities like guided hikes where participants might cross bridges, see a waterfall, and learn awesome things about animals. Visitors can also explore the museum and gift store. It is a gem of the area and an awesome learning opportunity for everyone.
