Dr Leshem is truly a master of his craft, very knowledgeable and passionate about his work. My 8 yr old dog was limping and it was determined that he suffered a significant CCL tear with possible meniscus issues. Dr Leshem performed an evaluation in January and was confident that with the surgery my dog would be running and hiking with me again by June. We elected to use Dr Leshem for the surgery and we are so glad we did. He repaired the full CCL tear and a portion of the meniscus. Although the mobility limitations and physical therapy were tough for both us and my dog, his surgery was a resounding success. We followed Dr Lesham's post op direction exactly as noted on the documents and I am sure this played a huge role in my dog's surgical success. He was able to go on long hikes at the end of June without any limping or noticeable mobility issue. In fact as of Aug he was also able to go on long runs (5 miles) at a 11 minute mile pace. I would recommend Dr Leshem and his team for anyone requiring surgical intervention on their dog.

Dr. Leshem and all of the staff and Leshem Veterinary Surgery are an amazing and talented team. They not only perform quality medicine and surgery it is also clear they love their patients. Dr. Leshem put his heart into taking care of my pup and I will be forever grateful for his services and his support in a very trying couple of weeks.

Dr. Leshem and his staff were truly a saving grace. One of my dogs, Athena, needed surgery to correct a fracture in her hind leg. I was hesitant to take her anywhere besides Leshem Veterinary Surgery since they came highly recommended by a personal friend. Dr. Leshem agreed to perform the surgery on my dog despite his busy schedule and I was more than happy with his practice, every step of the way. All of the positive reviews here are highly accurate- Dr. Leshem came out to speak to me personally on arrival. He is clearly knowledgeable about orthopedic surgery and doesn’t shy away from proper techniques. He was ready to use the proper pin placement in order to prevent long term problems unlike other surgeons I spoke to. He was personable and kind and clearly loves animals. His quote was more than fair, the staff was pleasant, Devan kept me informed throughout everything and Dr. Leshem called me before and after surgery. I can’t recommend this practice enough - if you want the best care for your beloved companion - look no further than Dr. Leshem and his team.

When my cat Moby suddenly became lethargic and stopped eating over the summer and no vets were taking appointments, we thankfully found Dr. Lesham who got us in that day. Turns out Moby had a large tumor on his intestines that needed immediate surgery. This was all incredibly overwhelming but we had to make a decision very quickly. We decided to go ahead with the surgery the next day to give him the best possible chance. Dr. Lesham called me personally and let me ask as many questions as I needed to. He was calm and compassionate and honest and him taking the time to talk it all through meant the world to me since I was incredibly worried and panicked. He said he'd call me during the surgery to let me how things looked, which he did. Unfortunately, the tumor was large but Dr. Lesham removed it all. During his recovery, Dr. Lesham and his staff were always available to take my calls and were incredibly patient. The big question was what to do post-surgery b/c he needed chemo. They don't ordinarily do chemo treatment there but since Moby didn't have a regular vet here (we live full-time in Boston), Dr. Lesham made an exception for us and was kind enough to consult with an oncologist and administer the chemo himself. I can't fully express how grateful I am to Dr. Lesham and his wonderful staff for the incredible care they provided for my sweet boy. We've had an additional 5 months of time with Mobes during which he's back to his old self, eating, drinking, playing, and loving life. Grateful for each day we have with him and I can't recommend Dr. Lesham and his amazing staff enough. They're the best.

Our dog Tulip is a rescue ( and not the best patient). However, Dr. Leshem was fantastic from the start and put us at complete ease. The surgery was flawless and we were updates various times during the procedure. I have never written a vet review but feel this is necessary. The staff is very focused, kind, and competent. I feel very lucky to have found this place. Thank you!!!!

Do NOT come here if your animal needs serious help! I went there for the first time on a Wednesday, when my dog was not eating and acting Drowsy. They wanted to run blood work and x-ray. I said Start with blood work . They did, they called sayin he had some kind of infection. Awesome problem solved, gave us antibiotics and we went on our way. We waited a day or two for the antibiotics to start working- still no improvement- he's getting worse. We bring him in on Saturday morning first thing again- have blood work (again) and x-ray done. They find nothing. By now he's vomiting and has bloody diarrhea they were able to get a sample while he had this happen in his cage. Now they say its probably parasites. that we could hospitalize him, or if we can get him his meds he can go home. We are now at $1,400. Fine. If they have given us the meds to fix him- the money is no issue. Bring him home. This dog was getting worse by the minute - again thinking we have to let the meds work! They call me Sunday and guess what.. NO PARASITES! So not only have they charged us over a thousand dollars, but have given my dog several medications he does not need. They tell me to bring him in and admit him. When we get there they realize they are not equipped to care for my dog. So wasting just MORE of our time and money we go to Pieper Memorial Hospital. Where they looked at the SAME X-rays from here and see a blockage in his intestines. They confirm with an ultrasound. Needless to say if I kept trusting this vet my dog would have DIED. They charged me $1400 for NOTHING, and wasted 6 days of my dogs life which could have been all he had left. I did not read the reviews until my third time sitting in the parking lot waiting for answers. I'm far from the only one who has been ripped off and their animals not cared at this vet. I suggest save yourself time AND a lot of money and go To a legit state of the art facility IF your animal is showing serious illness. I'm sure they will come back with a reply to this review and make this our fault like have tried dozens of times with other non pleased clients. That's fine. I just want to warn the next person like me. RUN- don't risk your pets life here!

I would highly recommend Dr. Leshem and his wonderful staff. My lab Ollie tore his ACL and Dr. Leshem did a wonderful job repairing his knee. Now if Ollie would only follow instructions...

Always a great surgeon. What sets him apart is his genuine care for animals and not just a paycheck.

I've had to take my dogs here on multiple occasions or emergency care. They are up front about pricing and very kind and competent. One time my dog needed a CT scan so they had to send us to Pieper Memorial. Pieper was awful and a money grab and I will only take my dogs here for emergency care.

This vet literally did nothing for our cat and charged us over $600 to literally send us home with absolutely nothing to help him did tons of unnecessary test and charged us $350 for a X-ray and when I called other vets to ask prices they all told me that was outrageous do not bring you animal here unless you want to leave broke with no answers!

This is a caring and well organized vet. They are especially valuable because they are open 24/7 and in an emergency they can truly save the day. Late at night, they supported me in taking care of our lovely cat and he is doing well thanks to their kind help. The doctors are highly knowledgeable and supportive. The nurses and office teams are very helpful and well organized. They have a great support system fo buy medicated to organize updates to the owners follow up visits. I am very grateful for their services and they certainly are a great asset to the entire area for us who live here and love our pets.

Although I have not been to his practice as of late. Dr Leshem did 2 ACL surgeries and both minicus on my Akita’s back legs 6 or 7 years ago. He was so good with my boy and I have never forgotten the compassion and empathy he felt for us.His symptoms started in November and our regular vet did all he could but after months of no improvement our vet sent us too a specialist. Dr Leshem had us walk our dog and instantly knew what the problem was. After months of guess work and thinking the worst he assured us within one visit that it was fixable. I have nothing but respect and admiration for him.

I loved the honesty from Dr Lesham. I could see he had my dog's best interest in mind instead of just jumping to surgery.

This review is long overdue and I would give Dr. Leshem and his team 10 stars if I could. My puppy Bruno had two severely fractured femurs in July and needed surgery as soon as possible. Dr. Leshem was referred to me by a good friend and even though it was the weekend and he was off work, he took the time to talk to me and calm me down and even let me text him with any concerns. Despite the doctor's busy schedule, Bruno was booked for surgery that Monday. I was warned of the worst possible outcomes from this extensive surgery but for some reason I felt safe leaving him there and knew he'd be taken care of. I wasn't wrong. A month later with the help of physical therapy Bruno was almost back to normal. Fastforward to September and Bruno is back to doing zummies around the yard, splooting and chasing squirrels. Although he has a slight limp which is barely noticeable, I am so happy that my happy little angel is alive and well and I'll forever be grateful to Dr. Leshem and his team!

Worst place ever! Staff is rude and they didn't even watch my dog on 24 hour watch. She ate a f****** mat, and didn't tell up that that happened. And she came home puking it all out. Do NOT bring your pet here if you care about them.
