I have a Gorgeous Piece of Vintage Bovano I purchased about 20 years ago - a Pink Dogwood Branch pictured below. Wanted to expand my collection now and was so happy to see they are still in business. Chose a similar piece from the online store of Bovano.com but what arrived was very poorly made yet it cost $855! You would think at those prices there would be some "quality control" in the studio! Ugly gray solder glob on the edge of a petal, sloppy soldering all over the sculpture, the beautiful "Olive Four Spot" butterfly from the catalog bears NO resemblance whatsoever to the ugly orange creature perched on the branch that I received. When I sent an email to Jim Flood and shared my disappointment in the poor quality along with photos there was no apology whatsoever. To the contrary he became quite defensive when I requested that he provide a return shipping label as I do not feel it is fair for me to have to pay for return postage for defective merchandise that is not at all commensurate with the quality shown in the online catalog. What they are creating today sadly bears absolutely NO resemblance to the quality of Bovano a few decades ago. They are obviously just coasting on the name recognition but the current product is severely lacking in aesthetics. Not worth even a fraction of the price they charge! I recommend you shop at Estate sales or antique shops for vintage Bovano instead. There is no comparison in the quality from previous years to now. Sadly the glory days of Bovano are long gone it appears from my experience. I hope this is helpful information for those of you shopping for high quality wall sculpture.**Post Script- Return shipping is via UPS only per company demands and it cost me $98.49 to return this defective sculpture. Refund status remained "Pending" until I got my own bank involved to demand full immediate refund even after they had received the package a week prior. Horrible business with subpar art work and terrible customer service.

I just received the Chickadees on Dogwood that I ordered at the Sugarloaf Craft show on December 8. I love it! It was such a pleasure talking to Jim at the show. He is obviously a nature lover who takes his time creating true-to-life art.

Bovano does high quality work. There decorations are hand crafted works of art using the best materials available. They are NOT mass produced junk using the cheapest materials available, combined with shoddy workmanship. There products are made to last a life time and not fall apart, change color, suffer enamel to metal separation, etc. You will never regret your purchase.

They had me at first sight. These craftsman are truly divinely gifted. I got goosebumps vieing their magnificent renderings at the Atlanta American Craft Show. Wonderful to speak to in person.
