The worst deli ever . Every time i order boars head turkey breast and its very very low quality. For 14$ a pound you should have better cuts

Very unhappy with how I was treated tonight with my family at the self check out. The employee named Ryan that was working there came over because we were having trouble scanning our "scan as you shop" tool. He came over and said he had to audit our order. Never in my life has this happened to me. I did tell him as soon as he came over before telling us he had to "audit" our order that we have 1 bag set aside that we didn't scan and that we were going to scan when we came to the register. We had 2 kids one of which was screaming during the shopping trip. This is why we were more concerned about our kids then the groceries so we brought them upfront to scan. He then proceeded to tell us he needed a supervisor to cancel our scan it took so we could use our stop and shop savings card. As he can clearly hear of children losing there patients he slowly took his time so we went to another self check out line. Then proceeded to make us completely uncomfortable and hover over us as we are checking out as we were apparently going to steal avocados in his eyes. We are NOT those kind of people. He then followed us to the door as we left. I am completely shocked at what happened tonight for no reason. Making my wife, myself and our 2 young kids feel so uncomfortable. We do know people higher up in the corporate world of stop and shop and they will for sure be hearing about this.

Purchased a package of boneless skinless pork chops Natures Promise Brand I come home open the pack place the four individual packs in the freezer take one out a few day later and defrost it and it smells rotten I check another one and the same thing I called the store and explained and was told because I dont have the original bag with the bar code they cant help THANKS FOR THE UNDERESTANDING Cheshire Stop&Shop.I dont care if stop&shop was next door to me I will NEVER shop there again they DO NOT STAND BEHIND WHAT THEY SELL.My hard earned money right in the grabage

Attempted to check out using a self check station. It constantly refused items. Even placing my empty bag in the bagging area caused it to have a problem. There was only one employee trying to monitor what seemed to be at least 10 stations and it was utter craziness. Having successfully checked my own groceries and items at many other stores such as Walmart, Shop-Rite, Home Depot, etc. I have never come across such a difficult checkout experience ever. I spoke with the manager who suggested I simply did not know what I was doing and never even offered an apology for being grossly understaffed. I will no longer patronize this store.

We're in a pandemic Cheshire Stop & Shop Management. You have simple instructions for customers repeated over the intercom system. Is the store set up to allow for this? NO!Do customers adhere to the rule of one person shopping? NO!Are all employees masked, especially during senior hours? NO!Do young people sneak in during senior hours? YES!How about respecting the 6 ft. distance between people? NO!Go visit Hamden and see what a stellar job they are doing to accommodate their customers. (and it's a much busier store)

I wanted to give a quick update for the Cheshire Stop & Shop. The store is currently under a major renovation. They're remodeling the whole store. Many items are being moved around so it can be hard to find what you need. The staff are still very friendly and helpful so if you need any help finding anything, just ask them. The food is still all fresh (Produce, deli foods, prepared foods, baked goods, meats, seafood) and everything is well stocked. The staff are still very focused on enforcing covid-19 social distancing rules which is good to see. The store is dirty right now, the floors and shelves are scuffed and dirty, but that's due to the ongoing construction. There is an odd smell in the dairy section, hopefully that'll be addressed. One major issue that has to be fixed are the freezers. The freezers (specifically the ice cream freezers) are horrible! They constantly are badly leaking, breaking down, defrosting and refreezing, and just don't work properly. Yesterday evening, one of the freezers was completely broken, with a puddle of water on the floor in front of it, the temp way warmer than it was supposed to be, and all the food inside melting and covered in ice. Today, all the ice cream freezers were badly leaking like usual, all the ice cream was covered in ice crystals and freezer burn, the shelves were covered in ice, some ice cream products were clearly thawed and refrozen, bent out of shape, and some of the freezer doors don't even open properly because of all the freezer burn. The floor along the freezers is a mess because the freezers are constantly leaking. If you're going to remodel the whole store, please please replace the freezers! They've gotten so bad you can't even buy ice cream. They need to be fully replaced. The floors are also very cracked, scuffed up, worn, look messy, and also need to be replaced. The two things in the store most in need of improvement are the freezers and floors. I really hope those both will be fixed during the renovations. Otherwise, the store's doing a good job so far during the renovations.

I for one, am sooooo sick and tired of being raked over the coals at Stop & Shop. Progresso soup: Stop &Shop: $3! Target: same soup: $1.50. Today was simply crazy. Stopped in for bread, English muffins and eggs.. $28!!! Shop elsewhere people!!!

The 2 stars is ONLY for the bottle return area... I went there a few days ago with a good amount of bottle returns... I went in there and it was really small. I even pulled my cart over to the side and another lady in there rolled her eyes at me and gave a loud sigh... they only have 1 glass machine 2 can machines and 2 bottle machines. One of the can machines was completely broken and the other was being used by a lady with 3 bags of cans. So I used the glass one and then a guy came in waiting about 10 mins for me to finish which I tried to hurry up. Then they were getting jammed. No one could move in there and I felt extremely rushed and pressured to hurry up. The guy working the bottle room at the time was really nice. He wa doing the carts as well and was trying to take care of everything he can. Other than that this is a very crammed bottle area and I felt uncomfortable. Luckily this store itself isnt too bad.
