Shame on CIAC commissioners who have set arbitrary co-op team participation levels that are impacting the town of Fairfield. 15 players per school is arbitrary, d*** and is having chilling effect on HS hockey in Fairfield as well as other towns with fluctuating numbers. CIAC you are failing to serve high school ice hockey students. Shame!

Making kids wear masks while participating in physical activity and encouraging children to receive experimental medical treatments that increase their risk of heart inflammation is incredibly evil. Pure shame on the CIAC. You have harmed children physically and mentally.

This un-elected beaurocratic entity doesn't have any medical professionals on staff, yet has put forth recommendations (which are then made into district mandates) based on what they propose to be medical science. They continue to differentiate between vaccinated and unvaccinated children. They are even including flu vaccines now in their language. Why?? Their last guidance letter says "vaccination is currently the most critical and effective strategy for preventing Covid 19 transmission. Really? Based on what? Vaccinated individuals carry THE SAME VIRAL LOAD as unvaccinated individuals. There is ZERO science behind this moronic and dangerous statement.

We just learned that CIAC made changes to the Boys and Girls Tennis States tournament that even most coaches were not aware of. Traditional entry to the tournament for singles/doubles #1 position is to win at least 60% of games in that position and 75% for #2 singles/doubles. CIAC buried on page 11 for 2021 that States will now be an Invitational with only 24 players invited. Their coaches can nominate the player, but the decision of who plays and who doesn't is not defined. We have players who truly believe they qualified and will soon find out they likely will not be able to participate. Now that the mask mandate has been largely lifted today, there is no reason not to conduct States as normal. Give the kids a chance to compete!

They give us false safety nets about wearing masks during play to protect us against other teams and still shut us down when someone on THE OTHER TEAM gets exposed. They have taken too many memories from seniors last 2020 and 2021.

Ciac administration needs to take a drive across the state to understand the vast differences in the schools they represent. Blanket one fits all regulations don't fit every town. Get your head out of the clouds and your feet on the ground to actually help member schools on a personal level.
