Had no idea Joann Fabric was even in Clinton. Just happened to be going to the UPS store. It's smaller than usual, but still, there is lots of stuff and stuff to look at. Was good pricing and had a nice variety. Downside...no bathroom. Who builds a store with no bathroom . I had to walk next door to shoprite and some items in the clearance section without a red tag are the usual price, not an extra 25 percent off. I left with what I came for, scrapbooking paper and stamps.

My husband took up quilting and so that I don't just sit around doing nothing while he quilts, I decided that I'd learn how to punch needle. Both are activities that require a lot of supplies and this is the Joann closest to our house. All I can say is YIKES. The store is dirty and for a place with piles of stuff everywhere, they have nothing. I get that yarn/yarn supplies aren't the reason for the store, but holy balls. 10 skeins of dirty orange acrylic? Ugh. Awful. I don't buy seasonal stuff, but judging from the condition, it's all stored in some kind of damp dungeon. Go to any other location, literally any. Even the one in Hamden is better, so I say again, YIKES.

I’m never one to write poor reviews. Especially since many businesses are short staffed during the holidays. I’ve been a very loyal customer of this store. I went in tonight to purchase some specific findings I needed for a project. The app stated there was a quantity of 3 in stock. Could not find what I was looking for and waited patiently to ask the cashier who said she’d look into it. I waited over 20 min and searched every nook and cranny of the bead isle with no luck. Went back to the cashier again (patiently waiting for her to help customers check out). Was brushed off saying she had no idea. I then kindly asked if there was someone who could help me look, and was directed to a manager. He pretty much shrugged his shoulders and said he didn’t know, and I could go to a store 45 min away. The manger was pretty much just standing around doing nothing. He could’ve at least tried to get what I needed transferred to the store. I finally just said “I guess I’ll just go and put what I was going to buy back”. My purchase would’ve been a nice chunk of revenue. Again the manager walked away. I’m absolutely stunned that a loyal customer like myself was treated this way. I will never set foot in this store again.

How this store meets fire code (if it does) is questionable. Have been in here multiple times and most aisles are blocked by rolling carts, boxes or other random stuff that should be stored in the back. The heat is never on, lighting is dim, and nothing is ever stocked. Yes it's a smaller store but there's now excuse for it to look this bad.

This store has really gone downhill. Very poor selection and they only seem to push the low end sale items. I find a better selection on Amazon! During my recent purchase of a large order of yarn, which I returned half of it because it was very poor quality, I was not given a bag at the checkout for my items because there weren't any available! So I had to take the shopping cart to my car! The only bags available were small brown paper the size of a greeting card! Seriously, don't waste your time.
