These guys are awesome. Friend of mine had bought a cheaper vehicle to have an IID installed, I'm not an expert but saw concerning things on the vehicle and asked if they would take a look when they were installing the device. They put it up on a lift which they absolutely did not have to do And really checked the thing out, finding some pretty serious issues on the car. one of the gentlemen happens to do frame repairs on his own time and he gave us a thorough explanation about what was wrong and took the time to come out and get us down on the hot pavement to show me. They were also willing to do a write-up for me to bring to the individual who sold the vehicle With their name, license number, etc. They absolutely didn't have to do this stuff and risk being asked about it or challenged on it later. They told me what I needed to know. Not what I wanted to hear and didn't expect a cent for it. They did it just cuz it was the right thing to do. Highly knowledgeable, communicative, and efficient in regard to scheduling and how long service took. and as you see, amazing customer service

I have been bringing my 2010 car to Rich&Ray's ever since i moved back down to the shore area, a family member who is a long time mechanic at a Major Car Dealership In Saybrook knew these folks and highly recommend them to me.
I have read EVERY review of their shop and service, each review is accurate and TRUE.
I will ALWAYS bring my car's mechanical service needs to Owen and the folks at Rich & Ray's.

I cannot say enough good things about this incredible auto shop. While driving across the country, our van broke down on the highway, and we were lucky enough to pull off at the exit to Clinton, CT. We called the shop, and they took us in immediately the same day—no questions asked. The team quickly diagnosed the issue and had it fixed in just an hour. Not only did they handle everything with expertise and professionalism, but the pricing was also incredibly fair, which was a huge relief after the stress of being stranded. This shop was a true life-saver, getting us back on the road in no time and turning what could have been a major setback into a seamless, stress-free experience. If you're ever in the area, consider yourself lucky if you need their help—they are top-notch!

I decided to reach out to Owen and Eric regarding a recently installed-yet-leaky transmission seal that was done by a previous local shop. Frustrated and tired of dealing with what felt like a never ending ordeal, Owen and Eric not only corrected the sealing issue, but also noticed that the previous shop had overfilled the transmission, and thus, filled it back with the proper amount of gear oil.
They also turned the job around in one day- as someone who usually DIYs everything, I knew this job would be a nightmare at home and didn't want to risk being without my car for several days. Overall, the service was perfectly executed, timely, well priced, and with excellent customer service. Every single box was checked!
For my next oil change, I went under the car and inspected the seal, sure enough, it is drier there than it ever was, even from the factory! (These seals were a poor design to start and had a service bulletin on them)
Thank you immensely to Owen and Eric for treating me and my car fairly.
