“I have been going to Clinton Vet Hospital since 2021 for my dog, Bailey, and I have been nothing but pleased with the care we’ve received throughout the entirety of our experience. Clinton Vet Hospital was originally recommended to me by my father, who had been a loyal client for at least a decade, and to say that I continue to be impressed is truly an understatement.
Last night, I brought Bailey in for his annual appointment with Dr. Cosgrove and Vet Tech Aleks, and I was extremely anxious going in. Bailey is a Maltipoo…adorable, sweater-loving, and unfortunately the owner of some pretty rough breath… and if I’m being honest, he kind of looks like Joe Pesci when he played his part in Home Alone. Despite doing everything I can at home, I had been feeling overwhelming guilt and anxiety about his dental health. I never want to cause my dog pain or harm, and I had been beating myself up about this for quite some time.
When Aleks walked into the room, she was simply trying to weigh Bailey…but little did she know she had just signed up to be my unpaid therapist. I barely let her finish a sentence before I almost started crying about Bailey’s teeth, how I was trying to fix them, and how terrified I was of being judged. The amount of comfort, support, guidance, and genuine care she gave me in that moment was more than I could have ever hoped for. She immediately made me feel human, not like a failure. She reassured me that this is common for Bailey’s breed, that I hadn’t done anything wrong, and she truly saw me as a loving and responsible dog owner even when I couldn’t see that myself.
Then Dr. Cosgrove came in, also unknowingly walking into the emotional aftermath. He listened patiently to all of my concerns and heard the same heartfelt speech about how much I love my dog and want the absolute best for him. He never made me feel ashamed for not being able to afford thousands of dollars in dental work immediately. He didn’t talk down to me. Instead, he normalized the experience, reminding me that genetics happen, life is expensive, and it’s still possible to love and care for your pet deeply while navigating real-world limitations.
If you’re still reading this, you can probably tell that I’m very hard on myself (yes, something I’m working on…probably in therapy ?). But I truly love my dog more than anything. He is my constant, my comfort, and means the absolute world to me.
I want to sincerely thank Dr. Cosgrove, Aleks, and everyone at Clinton Vet Hospital for consistently being so loving, kind, supportive, and compassionate, not just towards Bailey, but towards me. Thank you for showing me that even when moments feel heavy and overwhelming, there is still light at the end of the tunnel. I am so incredibly grateful for all of you.
With kind regards,
Lindsey Laudano”

“These is an amazing caring staff and vets. You won't go wrong with this group. I never wait for the vet to come and see us. They are all knowlegable and trustworthy”
“I've been here at least 4x for triage type visits for my older pup. Basically as a bridge with antibiotics/pain meds until we can see our regular vet. I've never been treated with anything but kindness, respect and courtesy. Only one time was there a short wait and they sensitive, helpful and intuitive. All of the staff are top notch from the sweet receptionist, vet techs and Drs. For reference it ends up being slightly more expensive than a regular vet visit but definitely less than an emergency vet. The convience and peace of mind that comes from this location is something I'm so grateful for.”

“You come away from Animal Hospital of Old Saybrook feeling like the entire team -- from reception, to vet techs, to Dr. Shrack -- love your pet as much as you do. Great folks. And we've had to be there a lot in the last few years with an aging pup.”
“My Siberian husky strained her back on New Year's Eve. She was in so much pain she could barely walk. Dr. Torlone relaxed her with the laser therapy and followed it with accupuncture. One week later she was back to her normal behavior and happy to be moving without pain. The treatment helped her to heal quickly and completely. She received excellent care here, we highly recommend it!”
“We called at 12:15 on Christmas Eve because our dog cracked her nail and it was in a spot we were concerned wouldn't stop bleeding. They were finishing up a patient and closing soon because of thr holiday but they still let us come in. They were able to sedate our dog, remove the nail and get us medication and out the door in less than an hour. We are so thankful they stayed a little late to help us as upon driving by the emergency vet in Middletown on the way to a family gathering a few hours later we saw a packed parking lot and I know we would have been there literally all day and night if we had to go there. I know the bill would have been at least double there as well.
Thank you for the amazing care!”
“I cannot say enough good things about this team! They are exceptional. I have been going here for over 20 years and every time they treat my animals beautifully. They have saved all of my animals many times. I cannot imagine going to another vet”
“I adopted a sick kitty and Dr Caginalp has been amazing helping me through a difficult adoption transition for my kitty who is getting better by the week. The entire staff is very supportive.”

“We had to go there twice in one week for our little one. We thought the first experience was impressive. Between the doctor, the nurse Morgan and the receptionist Kayla, they were all wonderful and helpful and proactive. On our second night, we met Zach. We still wonder whether Zach was real or an angel sent to help us during a very stressful time. He was lovely, kind, helpful, calming, I can go on and on. Zach is a wonderful asset to this amazing hospital. Thank you Zach for being so wonderful to us and our little Dexter.”
“Dr Hall and the techs are so sweet to my dog where he is no longer scared of the vet! He's actually happy to be there which I have never seen before. An old vet I had would threaten to charge a cancellation fee and cancel on you if you were more than 10 minutes late, I called Madison Vet running behind they were so understanding, no fees held over my head! They understand you can love your pet and be on a budget and will explain any costs to you, which are lower than what I have been quoted at other places. Thank you Dr Hall and team for giving me and Bosco a safe space to discuss health concerns at reasonable costs. Worth the 40 minute drive to see Bosco's happy tail on arrival. So grateful to have found my furever vet ❤️”

“My family and I have been using TEAM for years for our cats. The staff are so sweet and extremely helpful! I know my babies are in good hands. And today a staff member went above and beyond for me and I am forever grateful. ♡”
“Very friendly, clean facility, but most of all my 2 kitties were comfortable with being there. The cost was fair for the health exam, micro chipping, and bloodwork. The staff explained everything to us in a way we could understand it. We never felt rushed. It was just a nice
overall experience.”
