Ace Hardware in Colchester, CT is top notch. We moved to the area a little over a year ago and first began shopping there, originally due to the proximity, but continue to go because of the outstanding customer service. All the associates, both junior and senior, are wonderful! It is a little like stepping back in time and experiencing what great customer service used to more commonly be. The associates have always been genuinely interested and invested in helping us. They give wonderful advice and if they don't know the answer, they pull in another associate for wisdom. It's especially impressive the work ethic we have witnessed from the junior associates. We have gotten the impression that the senior associates have either mentored them wonderfully and/or they are just incredibly self motivated. Regardless, it's refreshing to witness and experience. It's also impressive how well the any of the associates remember us and ask us how we are doing AND they remember if you've served in the military. Ace Hardware in Colchester, CT is a hidden gem in our opinion. Again, it gives such nostalgic vibes of yesteryear when your neighbors were your family. We truly hope the associates at the Ace in Colchester know that these acts of kindness with their customer service, although may seem small, always have a positive impact on our day. It also gives us hope that their are still business', like Ace, where we can shop and the associates still do the right thing, take pride in what they do and appreciate their customers without fail. They all really deserve recognition.

Awesome people, after being turned away at the Norwich location while trying to get my car FOB/ programmed and key cut, I took a chance and went over to the Hope location in Colchester, although the staff could not help me on the first visit they gave me information to contact Josh who would be in the following day to schedule a visit. Josh squeezed me in during my lunch break and got the job done with the assistance of his apprentice. $25 bucks and I now have a working key/FOB instead of the $400 the dealership would have charged. Kudos to the staff of young people who were all very professional.

Just want to give a shout out to Employee 60 who helping me find the correct Torx bit and then showed me how to attach the handle to my drill. I was able to fix my dishwasher in 15 minutes. Much appreciated.

Hope solved our issue with our kitchen faucet. A very knowledgeable and friendly associate knew exactly what he needed! After having been to several other stores it was wonderful to find someone who know exactly what was needed to fix our issue! A wonderful store.

Everything in this place is insanely overpriced compared to the East Hampton Ace hardware they just tried to charge me $12.75 for a roll of electrical tape only a $1.49 for 3M brand at the granite corporation tractor supply $1.35 shame on them
