My daughter has attended DZ for 8 years, since she was 3 years old. Each and every staff member we've encountered has been nothing but amazing. She was given so much love and support from the staff whom have helped her to grow into the amazing, smart, caring young girl she is today. I am so appreciative and grateful for the time she has spent at DZ in preschool, at summer camp and before and after school. DZ truly has become apart of our family.

DZ is next to a gun range…Morning meeting or circle time was children seated in front of a laptop in the teachers lap… left much to be desired :/
Edit: my mistake, it is not a range, but a place which guns are bought and an indoor archery range. still next to the daycare. Secondly, even if it is a Yoga program, it can be implemented without putting a screen in front of toddlers, on a clearly disengaged teachers lap. There is an appropriate way to use a screen in a childcare setting. This is not it.
Which is precisely why we did not attend. 👍🏻

This company lied to us and said that our child was welcome to join even though we explained he needed a little extra attention due to covid restrictions , however he was was diagnosed to be mildly on the spectrum and then was promptly kicked out of the program. The owner baited us to join the program and then all of the staff back-peddled and pretended that our child was a huge massive burden which was a lie. (We have emails catching them in the lie). Please avoid as the owners and managers are terrible people.

Don’t work here. they don’t give their staff breaks. Got fired for outing them anonymously in a Facebook group. Also wouldn’t recommend bringing your kid here as they don’t have cameras.

My daughter loves attending summer camp at Discovery Zone - Columbia. The campers are kept busy all day with fun activities. Two days a week, they visit local parks then go swimming. Two other days, they have various field trips - she's been to a bison farm, CT Science Center, Harkness Park, and mini golf, just to name a few! Fridays are always in-house days at the center where a martial arts instructor [or similar activity] is brought in and then they have a pizza party. There's a staffed outside fenced in playground to burn off extra energy, large classrooms for rainy day activities, and an even larger room for movies. They also use an app to keep me updated on changes and share fun pictures of their activities. The camp teachers are engaging, kind, and energetic. My daughter comes home excited to tell me about her trip of the day, or show me a new bracelet she learned how to make. The cost of camp is very reasonable, given all of the activities and the professionalism/cleanliness of the center. I highly recommend the Discovery Zone!

We found Discover Zone after having a traumatic event happen to our daughter at another daycare. They welcomed us and reassured us everyday, now the staff has become more like family. Highly recommend!
