My favorite auction house in CT. Auctioneer is lively, intelligent and witty. He really knows his stuff! The crew here run a tight ship. Everything is organized and everyone works well together. Sue is such a peach! Staff are helpful, friendly and everyone has a wonderful sense of humor. Every auction is truly a pleasure to attend!

Very disappointed in an embarrassing experience at this "auction". Went for the second Sunday in a row. Spent little under $100 the first week, with plans on spending more this week. The first week I went was mostly walk around box lots, this week was more standard auction items. I sat in the back because I had my toddler with me and didn't want him to be a distraction. The "auctioneer" (skinny gentlemen in 70s-80s) brought up a box of models, 1 of 20ish items on my list. He opened it at 25, which he received in front of me, I entered at 35 and immediately lowered my number facedown to my lap. He got 45 from the opening bidder and then called out 55, which he closed it at. The entirety of this auction item took place in probably under 10 seconds which makes sense considering he opened the auction with a couple non landing jokes about "the auction ending quick because football is on". He then called on me for my number as the winning bidder. I looked around, and behind me because I was certain there was no further action on my behalf. I said, " I didn't make any further bidding action". He responded, "O, you're just waving your card around?" At this point I showed him my number and decided that this $55 auction was my charity to an auction house that I would never use again. As I got up to leave, our elderly auctioneer began openly insulting in front of a crowd of strangers. "You resellers are all the same. I've made some mistakes, but not marrying my wife". Congratulations sir, you were hurling unwarranted and unjustified insults at a Special Education Teacher (who does do some reselling) in front of his toddler. The silver lining of my experience at Ingraham, was I got to share a quality message with my son and tell him that this is not the way you treat customers or people in general. I couldn't see her face, but as I told my son this in front of the cashier, her eyes had a look of "this happens often here". Take your business to one of the other many auction houses around.

Decent auction. Doesn't seem to have "the good stuff" every week though. So it's hit or miss.

A very fun place to spend a Sunday morning or Wednesday evening. Its a lot of fun to paw through all the stuff you can't find at the Flea Markets. You can leave a bid if you can't stay. I personally love the Americana and antiques. This is definitely the place to buy postage stamps in larger unsorted quantities. I found a Playboy "key" once in an lot I won and sold that individual thing for over 50 dollars on eBay. I like the early bird auctions where the bid starts can start as low as ten dollars.

Horrible when he was having auctions on Wednesday he would sell things like at 5 or 10 bucks. Now he won't drop anything below 50 or pass it. This was a place to go if you had little money. Now you can't afford it. They sell items worth 5 bucks for high amounts. Stay away or you'll get screwed.

Crook! Bruce Ingraham of Ingraham & Co. is an auctioneer located in Coventry, CT. Do not do business with him. He sold two of my pieces with an appraised value of $15k behind my back, kept the money and now claims he was within his right as he was storing them for me (as we had an agreement). He lies, over estimates the value of your antiques and is deceptive. I lost so much money through him and cheated me out of the two pieces which is unacceptable. He is being sued. Bottom line, this guy is a creep, a crook and no one to do business with unless your looking to lose your shirt.
