This location looks like a law suit waiting to happen with the lack of safety standards during my visit this afternoon. Literal tripping hazards everywhere. Stockers leaving broken down boxes in the middle of the floor and nobody picking stuff up. Someone is going to get hurt. I know there's not enough employees, but the cost of extra employees to a law suit might be a better worth it.

Becky the manager has awful customer service and as a MANAGER she is very unprofessional, rude and yelled at me when I told her I was in a hurry and couldn't wait that much longer to be checked out . She huffed and puffed when she had to stop what she was doing to check me out at the register . She then told me after I said "the customer service just keeps getting better and better here" she yelled back at me not to come back ... Instead of her trying to fix the problem and making me feel more as a customer that was just frustrated... I will NEVER step a foot in this building again !!!!

Aisles are always full of things. No room to even get down some of the aisles and only one person working in a Saturday trying to do everything!Update, I emailed them three days ago about the store being so crowded and how I cut my toe by banging it into a rack left in the middle of the aisle. Asked that someone get in touch with me and, not a peep. What terrible customer service!!

This place is a disaster, went there the other day told the cashier I had my own bag and when my husband gave her the bag she looked at him and was like I don't bag and just stood there and did nothing.Will be calling corporate to let them know the condition of the store and the lack of doing there job and how rude the cashier was.

I love the dollar general in Cromwell. The staff is nice and the store is clean. Of course the prices are great as well!

A few times now I have rushed to dollar general to make it within 4-5 minutes (9:55pm) of posted closing time (10 pm). I don’t make a habit of this, but I have 5 1/2 year old twins, when my kids suddenly come down with a fever and need medicine last minute, and with very few options left these days bc everyone shuts down early since the pandemic, DG being a literal 2-3 min drive from my house seems like the best option. Nope. 9:50 doors are locked and he will stare at you and doesn’t care, not to mention the overall customer service and lack of knowledge is awful here, not worth the time or hassle, unless you like being treated like dirt. I’ll take my business elsewhere thanks.

Great store. The manager is always super nice to me and my wife. Always a clean place and has lots of things in stock. So happy it's around the corner from our house. It's our "go to" store

I haven't been here in a couple months. Prices have gone up. Some instances, items are just as comparable to any other grocery store > ie: Stop & Shop, Big Y, etc.The store is an absolute mess! Not sure if it's due to no help but there's product on carts in the middle of aisles making it difficult to go down let alone shop the shelves. Items are shrewn on floor in aisles. No excuses! If you don’t have the help to put items away, keep them off the floor until it's workable. I worked retail for years and we would have gotten written up for leaving the store like this!! Shame on CORPORATE, this store's Manager and the employees!! Take pride in your job!!!!
