Fix your air pump
Connecticut has such a law (CGS § 14-325a). It requires, with certain exceptions, any licensed fuel retailer to provide an air compressor for free public use for tire inflation during the hours the establishment is open for business. The licensee must post a sign in a conspicuous location that informs the public of the air compressor’s availability during normal business hours. Air compressors must be capable of producing outlet air pressure of at least 80 pounds per square inch. The air compressor requirement does not apply to anyone licensed to dispense fuel at a retail food store he owns and operates and which dispenses less than 10,000 gallons of gasoline in any one month.
