Since garages are in separate buildings, and there are stairs to get into most apartments, coming home with groceries can be inconvenient. Also, coming home at night, alone, can be unsettling.”

Among her greatest contributions was the promotion of maintenance supervisor Walter Hopkins, who has done more in a short period of time than all his predecessors did in their entire tenure.
