Unfortunately Audi Danbury's customer service was far below acceptable standards on my most recent visit(s). My wife and I took our car in for a 40K mile checkup, which Audi considers a major service. It took longer than expected, and we ended up waiting about 30 minutes after the time they promised it would be ready. In fact, the multi-point inspection video that they usually send in the morning (or a couple hours after they receive the car) wasn't sent until after 4PM. By that time we we were already driving to the dealer to pick up the car.
Just days after getting the service, we got a dashboard warning about low coolant level. I immediately texted a photo of the dashboard warning to Audi Danbury, and tried to call them after receiving no reply. The person answering the phone put me on hold for 5-6 minutes while she tried to find an available service rep. She finally said she was putting me through to a rep, but the call went to voicemail. I left a VM, but got no callback. The next day I tried again, with essentially the same outcome. On day three I called again, and they still could not get a real live service rep on the phone. Later on day 3, I finally got a callback, and made arrangements to bring the car back to Audi Danbury the next morning. They diagnosed the problem as a bad coolant sensor, and gave me a price estimate, but did not have the parts in stock.
I ended up going to an independent repair shop, very close to my home, that was able to fix the problem using genuine OEM Audi parts at less than half the price quoted by Audi Danbury.
My real complaint is the lack of communication. It was far too difficult to get a real person on the phone that could address the problem. Three days to speak to a service advisor is ridiculous. The shop is immaculately clean and impressively state-of-the-art, but you pay through the nose for that overhead. I won't be going back.
