While my vehicle was unfortunately stuck at the repair shop for an extended stay, dealing with Avis was definitely a high point. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, the car was near new and clean, and the couple of free upgrades that I received were definitely a nice bonus. We liked the car so much that we were actually sad to return it and were contemplating purchasing one. Thank you again for an extremely pleasant rental experience and we will definitely use you again as I am sure we will be in need of your services in the future as I am not confident in the repair to my vehicle. I will definitely recommend you to all of my friends and business associates.

Absolutely HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
RUDE! Were the front desk woman and the man who got the cars from the back.
I was there exchanging a car I received from the airport that had faulty steering and faulty brakes. I filled up the gas tank of the car I was returning and burned whatever it took me to get to the Danbury office which was not much more than a gallon. They said I didn't bring the car back full so they would have to charge me for the extra gas. THEY CHARGED ME $70. Didn't know this until I received my final bill a week later. All the time I was at 58 Mill Plain Rd, Danbury the woman at the front desk and the man who got the cars from the back had a HORRIBL RUDE attitude.
The car they gave me as a replacement had faulty brakes and I had to exchange it again when I got to New York.
All in all my rental experience with AVIS/BUDGET car rental was horrible but THE DANBURY LOCATION AT 58 Mill Plain Rd, Danbury CT was THE WORSE!

I RECENTLY RENTED A VEHICLE FRON AVIS IN DANBURY, CT. THE SALES TEAM WAS VERY RESPONSIVE TO MY NEEDS. THE PRICE WAS FAIR AND THE CAR WAS ALMOST BRAND NEW AND VERY CLEAN. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LOACTION FOR YOUR RENTAL NEEDS.

I made a reservation for mid-size SUV and was delayed in getting there. I was set to arrive 5 minutes before they were closing and called ahead and Sabrina was incredibly helpful and pleasant. She waited for me to arrive and although they did not have the SUV I reserved, she assisted me with getting another vehicle that would fit my needs and made sure our rate was adjusted accordingly. Always have a pleasant experience here, but can’t thank Sabrina enough for her service and hospitality with our most recent rental!

Be careful when you return your car and make sure you take a picture of your gas tank. We refilled our car gas on mobil exit 2 and they marked we only refill 14.9/15.5 gas tank. Also the car had a lot of dents and we did point it out when we exited JFK car rental and the lady was nice marked them down.—————————Following below Avis advice and wrote an email with my documents and they did refund the gas $ so I increase * level for they did really care and read my review.

Avis thinks Im a Flintstone character and should stop the car with my feet and have a dinosaur as a windshield wiper because the car they gave my family had neither. The vehicle had stains all over the insides and had a lovely smell to it. I will not be coming back to avis. I gave it a try, and it wasn't worth my time.

Deceptive pricing. Prices for car rentals in Italy from all other companies except Avis show the total cost up front. Avis adds over $100 at checkout.

I was given a fully electric car after I specially requested a gas vehicle because of the distance of the trip. They refused at the location and I was forced to take the EV because they had rented everything else and was told I was lucky they even had a car. The clerk laughed at me when I asked about the range and said there was more than enough charge to make the distance. I charged the car over night. The next day not only did I not make it the whole way, I had to stop a third of the way and charge the car for an hour and a half. I had to stop a second time and was able to charge the car. I had to leave the car, and with the assistance of the State Police, they drove me the rest of the way. I still missed my daughter's graduation because the vehicle was not what I asked for, took an extra hour and a half out my travel plans, and then stranded me. I missed a major milestone in our family, with our daughter being the first to graduate college. There is nothing Avis can do make this right.I called customer service several times, and they would not help us switch out while enroute at another avis and offered no assistance.

Made the mistake of switching from Enterprise to AVIS. They will destroy you with fees. This location in particular was quite difficult to deal with.

I couldn't connect my phone bc USB port didn't work. There was no windshield wiper fluid so I couldn't clean the windshield.Air conditioner did not work so I was very uncomfortable.

Everytime I've rented from here the cars are dirty from the last person which means no one is maintaining them between renters. Customer service is sorely lacking. Never had a problem at other avis across the US but after realizing their corporate does nothing and is extremely difficult to speak to a human about any issues I realize avis is just not an option for me ever again. They are bottom tier, which is kind of scary when you think of how they put you in danger and usually I can find better deals especially with my aarp discount at hertz. Enterprise is my favorite for customer service just a little out of my price range most times.
