Second vehicle purchased from colonial recently. Staff is always great and helpful. Process was simple and not over complicated. It would be five stars if it wasn’t for way over pricing of the recently purchased vehicle, which is common to all dealers I would imagine, so it’s not necessarily reflective of colonial, but the auto sales industry as a whole.

My review is strictly for the Service Department-- they are excellent. They make it very obvious that customer care is priority number 1. I am a repeat customer also because they take great care with my truck and always performed maintenance quickly and completely. They also find me the best prices by applying any discount that's available. Their service reps are bona-fide gear heads and enthusiasts who can talk Ford all day long and keep you interested.

MY EXPERIENCE about this place is simply TERRIBLE and with horrible service… I left my Ford Transit for service the first time because they had to change the front shocks and they told me that they had to remove the dashboard to change the shocks which I agreed, but when they finished the service the dashboard was replaced incompletely and I had to take it back to have it fixed due to the terrible service. I CAME BACK for the second time to give them ANOTHER CHANCE with my Transit van for their service, thinking that maybe now they would be more attentive in their work BUT they were worse than before, FIRST they changed the tires but NEVER checked the air pressure before giving it to me, THEY ALSO did an oil change and SURPRISE they never put the cover back and now the engine is stained with oil. What irresponsibility!!! If I could I would give them 0 stars but there is no way and I will never return to that terrible and negligent place again, and I recommend thinking twice before leaving your vehicle at that place????

Recently purchased a 23 Raptor from Colonial and my experience with the salesman and finance person were good, they were not pushy or impatient with me. However when buying a vehicle that's close to six figures I really expected the truck to at least be cleaned and detailed for me when I picked it up, that was not the case. It looked like whoever prepared the truck for me didn't really care, the plastic that covered the visors and seats was ripped off leaving pieces of plastic in the clips, a grease stain on the leather of center console, greasy fingerprints on the driver's door handle, and multiple scratches on the exterior of the truck that were not very visible at dusk when I picked it up, hard to believe it was even washed........SUPER DISAPPOINTED that the first thing I needed to do after I just paid almost 100k for this brand new truck was bring it to get cleaned up. I made the dealer aware of the scratches and they say they have a person to fix them but I'm not confident since the original "detail" completely overlooked them. I will absolutely update my experience after they attempt to fix the scratches and who knows maybe I'll get lucky and they will actually clean the truck after before I get it back...overall 3 stars is the best I can give them.

We bought a few Ford cars from Colonial Ford in Danbury. Will not purchase again. Very disappointed in the service hours. We had an emergency and needed information about the car we purchased and the service is closed on Saturdays! The Sales Department of course was open on a Saturday. They were unable to assist us being that “they use a different computer software system” compared to the Service Department. Terrible.

Pat was terrific from the very beginning. He was helpful and prompt via email with vehicle availability and information. Scheduled a next day test drive. Pat was very friendly and answered all of my questions. Also had nice chit chat during the test drive in regards to the beautiful area and history. Pat was extremely knowledgable about the truck, patient with my questions and made the process seamless. The Truck was priced fairly under NADA Book value as well.Joe, who assisted with the finance was very friendly, personable and knowledgeable. Great service. Process went smoothly. Thanks to Pat and Joe, I never had such a pleasant experience at a dealership purchasing a vehicle. Will highly recommend family in friends looking for a Car or Truck.

Simple. Just like the start of my experience at Brewster Ford - I was told there was nothing wrong and there is. It took 3 visits, 2 arguments and a competent mechanic to find it was the Pittman arm making the noise.I have a transmission that knocks and downshifts late. I was told there was nothing wrong and you updated the software which should fix it. You also did 2 recalls without telling me first, which didn’t allow me to tell you the wiper recall had already been done after a breakdown by a local mechanic and Ford customer service told me to submit the bill to a dealer. So now not only did your mechanic not notice the recall had been done while he was doing it again, you have a customer with no faith in you.

I was not pleased with the loaner vehicle I received, because I thought I would be getting something like my vehicle I was bringing in. I dropped off my 2019 Lincoln Navigator and they gave me this small Ford it was very inconvenient and uncomfortable to drive was not happy with it. Far as service went went for my 90,000 mile checkup, prior to that I had been there a few months back to have my vehicle checked out, because I brought it from a dealer and just wanted them to go over it to make sure everything was ok with vehicle. Now I get a call from the service department telling me all these things need to be done to my vehicle and it would cost me about $1,500 and I said I just got this vehicle and I don’t think this needs to be done. Transmission Fluid, Spark Plugs, Coolant, Brake Fluid, Driveline Fluid, so I said I would have to talk with my husband. So what I did was call Gervais Lincoln and spoke with their service department, because that’s where I brought the vehicle from and gave them the information on my vehicle and they informed me I did not need to have any of those services done. I was then advised that they was trying to up-sale me, so I thanked him for the information and I called Colonial Ford back to advised them I did not need any of that work done, because it was already done be dealer I purchased vehicle from.

The service department is everything you hope for but seldom experience. It was easy to get a convenient appointment, the service was thorough and performed correctly and the charge was exactly as quoted. It was a large job—complete rebuild of the 10 speed transmission.

I'm leaving an excellent review for Colonial Ford because they did the right thing and paid the labor on a repair I had to have done because they made a mistake in servicing my car. I'm sure they would have fixed it. However I live out of state. I'm recommending that family that lives by them still use them for service and I appreciate the way they treated me.

Ford Consumer AffairsPO BOX 6248Deerborne MI 481268/10/2023Dear Ford2021 f150 Platinum owner seeking <36k warrantee on ENGINE TRANSMISSION LOWER SPLASH SHIELD GUARD PLATE OEM that tore because it is made of felt. Counter agent Frank overheard my request to agent Nina and told me not covered. I asked for their name to contact Ford but a 40 year experience Colonial rep intervened, inspected the torn cover, confirmed it is a warrantable item, ordered it and gave me an appointment to install. One month later I drove 40 mins to and from with an escort to drop car. The next day negative Frank calls me to tell me not warranted. Service manager Anthony stands by Frank even though I told him Colonial already inspected, gave me an appointment, and ordered the part. Anthony was not hearing it.So the real problem is Colonial did not time stamp the warranteed part so a month later at 38k they cannot claim warrantee with Ford. Frank told me the time stamp was an issue. Colonial screwed up not documenting the diagnosis and mileage when I brought it in at <36k and is turning it around on me. I have followed up with a Ford 800 complaint and a PO BOX 6248 letter complaint.I asked for a free oil change bc my time was horribly wasted and I was aggravated and Anthony agreed. However, I thought better and rather remain principled, so I did not take the free oil change. I complained instead.

I bought a 2022 Ford F150 King Ranch from a trusted dealer 2 hours from where I live because my experience when shopping for a new truck at Colonial Ford was so poor. Over the last year my new truck has been in for service a couple times at Colonial Ford for recalls, the customer service team at the front counter does not know what quality customer service means. So much room for improvement, accountability, and training!

Tom Sweeney at Colonial Ford made my experience of buying a new truck simply perfect! He was able to problem solve, find the best truck for me and was incredibly knowledgeable throughout the process!!I would recommend him to anyone looking for a Ford! I will be a customer of Tom’s for life!

Service was great but I was there for a brake recall. I received the recall a few months ago where they stated the parts were not available until the third quarter of the year but not to worry about safety. Well my brakes went on the car and luckily my husband had just dropped me off at JFK airport and went to see family. When he got back in the car to go home the front breaks were not working. Luckily a brake repair place was close by. When I made an appointment with ford to install the ford parts ford did not have the parts available so I had to wait a few weeks. Hopefully no one has gotten into an accident and there have been no injuries or death.
