On April 7th, 2024, I traveled from New York to visit the Danbury Fair Mall in Connecticut. I entered Cotton On and selected 5 shirts to try on. Upon reaching the fitting room, I found no employee present to assist. One fitting room door was left open from the previous customer. Noticing it was available, I entered and noticed a hanger left behind by the previous customer. After trying on my items, I exited with all 5 items. However, the employee entered the fitting room after me and retrieved the hanger left behind, mistaking it for mine. Despite my explanation that the hanger wasn't mine and belonged to the previous customer, she persistently followed me around the store, giving me unpleasant looks as I returned the items I didn't want. Not only did she fail to do her job by not properly managing the fitting room and returning items to their rightful place, but I also felt targeted due to my race. Her actions may have been motivated by bias or discrimination, which further compounds the inappropriateness of her behavior. As someone who works in retail, particularly in the fitting room department, I find her approach to the situation highly unprofessional. The employee appeared to have highlights in her hair, she had olive skin and wore a black and grey shirt with the number 84.

My kids love shopping here and I dreaded visiting because the workers were always hit or miss, and the dressing room was rarely open.
We recently visited and there was immediate relief. We were welcomed, and the worker there told us about the sale they were having. Overall, a much better experience! I don't even leave reviews... but I wanted to share how nice the guy was and we appreciated him. I hope the company takes good care of him.

New management has been nice and friendly. Sales associates are helpful and take the cleanliness of the store seriously.

Absolute rudest workers. Came to mall at 530 pm. They wouldn’t let us try on clothes said they had to tidy dressing room. I said well store is open so people should be able to try on clothes. She said she’d rather clean up the register area than tidy dressing rooms. Who is letting these people work here? They’re horrible. Don’t shop here. Rudest employees. Would never spend money here. Can’t even give them 1 star.

Terrible customer service from the worker. She seemed to be Indian, not sure. Asked to try on clothes at 4:16pm, she said the fitting rooms were closed because only her and one other worker needed to clean up the store. The mall closes at 6pm! I don’t know how that’s the customer’s fault but ok. Very rude. Clothes looked cheap. Too bad my daughter couldn’t try them on.

Don’t know why the workers here are so rude. Trying to shop for shorts but I’m getting dirty looks and stared at. there’s no manager in the store to correct these attitudes, & if there is then she’s the one creating this environment. Horrible. -5 stars if I could. Also dirty store with boxes everywhere & the dressing rooms never opened bc they don’t want it opened.

Justene is rude. Need someone with more experience and work drive. She wouldnt let me return my jeans because it was "past 30 days." Customer service had to call her and tell her to let me return them since cotton on says you can return at any time. Very embarrassing on her part.

Extremely rude workers and manager! When entering the store they do not greet you or even give a smile, also when shopping around they stare at you, when going to checkout they give attitude and make you feel like you are bothering them. If you buy anything and would like to return be prepared for an issue. Better off shopping online.

Worker justene is rude and will make you feel like you did something wrong for just wanting to return an item.. she lied and said I couldn't return because it was past 30 days.. receipt says "change your mind anytime." Cotton ons website says no time limit on returns. I had to call customer service who then had to call that store and tell her to let me do the return. She made this into a whole argument in front of customers and screamed "why can't you just do an exchange." She also snatched the jeans out of the workers hand who I asked to be dealt by since she was much nicer and calm.

This place is a scam! They have no open dressing rooms and have a no tolerance return policy if ANY of the 3 tags on the clothing is missing. You can’t even exchange for a different size unless all 3 of the tags are perfectly intact along with the receipt.I tried exchanging shorts from a size medium to large and they wouldn’t even let me do that, even with 2/3 tags and the receipt. They make money from scamming their customers. Not to mention the manager is rude and condescending. Don’t go shopping here!
