I used a home depot credit card powered by Citibank to make a purchase with a promotional coupon that would allow me to make the purchase interest free for a certain number of months based on the amount of the purchase. On October 16, 2023 I called in to Home Depot because I could no longer see my payment allocations online and they needed to adjust some of the purchases as a wrong time frame was assigned to them. Thereafter I could not see the payment allocation page on the promotional balances nor the actual line items for the promotional balances online. I knew I had payments that needed to be made before March 16, 2024, so I called on March 15, 2024 to do this over the phone as I had no way to do this online and make sure it would be done. I spoke to someone (in India I presume based on their accent) I made the payment over the phone in the amount of $772.08. I had the representative read out to me on a recorded line each line item that the payment was going to. I then confirmed what would happen with payments going forward because again I could not see or allocate anything online. He confirmed it would go to the next balance due starting with May 16, 2024 line item. When I received my next statement it showed that all of the deferred interest had been charged even though I made the payment. I called Home Depot (today 11:00am EST) spoke to the first person in India, who told me they could do nothing for me, asked to speak to someone above her, spoke to another person in India, she wouldn't do anything about this. Spoke to the next higher up who told me they were in TN but would not give me a town or her last name or a confirmation number for the call her name was Lisa, she removed the deferred interest charge of $584.71 (which was correct) but informed me that unless I made an additional payment of $254+ that that amount would be apart of my revolving balance and would now accrue interest monthly in the amount of 25.99% apr. I was given no recourse to fix this problem, I asked to speak to someone higher and I got to Ms. Giles out of Idaho, she told me she could not do anymore for me now was there another higher person to speak to. She directed me to Fax or mail a letter to Executive Response Unit Home Depot Team at 433-477-6858 or P.O. Box 9058, Gray, TN 37615. Of which I plan to do. I do not care how they manage this on their end only that I will not be charged 25.99% apr on the additional revolving balance of $254+. I asked how I would make this payment in the future if I had the funds to do so and she said to do that I would need to remove the existing payment allocation plan (because i cannot do this myself online any longer for this card, which would mean trusting them to actually do what they say they will do and not make any further mistakes which I do not) make the payment and then reset up the payment allocation plan. They offered no other recourse.

Paid $8000 in full before the delivery and installation of 2 Feather River entry doors and an Andersen 400 specialty transom window including installation. Promised an 8-week window but got half an order 6 months later. The molding on one door overlapped and one door was put in crooked- yes crooked. The contractor mismeasured our transom and forgot to reorder another & pulled off the moldings to that window & threw them away. We went in and Millworks told us a new one was never ordered, they ordered another wrong window and charged us for restocking. We were told everything was Energy Star certified but they never gave us the certificate or the stickers that were put on by the manufacturer. We went over our order and noticed we were charged for things we didn't get, and our screen door was supposed to be re-installed, but the contractor threw it away. Waiting for refund of money.

I needed help ordering a part for an Echo string trimmer, which H.D. is the distributor. I asked three different "associates" for assistance, and as is usual at this store, all three spent their time telling me "why this can't be done", rather than figuring it out or getting someone that knows how to accomplish the task. This is a typical attitude at this H.D., the employees are always looking for a way to NOT get the task done, rather than a way to address the issue. It's a disease at this store. However, at Lowe's a half mile away, they always get the issue addressed properly. The only time I ever shop at this H.D. is if the item is not available anywhere else.

Can't find help anywhere on several occasions I had to go to the help desk to get help. Twice already I went in and there were no shopping carts again had to go to the help desk for a cart really. The place is disorganized the shelves are a mess you can't find what should be on the shelf. Oh and on several occasions I ask the employee a question on a product he answered I don't know that blew me away. a couple of years ago I order a battery power mower I was notified it was in I went to the service desk to pick it up and the girl said she don't see it and pointed to the isle were the mowers were I kinda scratched my head because it should be ready for me to pick up at the service desk. I went to where the mowers were and couldn't find it, there were 2 employees talking to each other not 4 ft away from me not one of them ask me if I needed help nor did service desk send someone to help me incredible! When Home Depot first open up they only hire knowledgeable sales people and you couldn't walk 10 feet without an employee ask if you need help well my friend those days are long gone. It's sad Im now starting to shop at Lowes plenty of help and the place is clean and organize. Hey don't take my word for it see for yourself.

Poor Service - Booked a tool rental, rang to change the pick-up time, I had all the information, including reservation ID - spoke to 3 people, eventually someone actually passed me to tool rental - now wasted 30 minutes. Then got cut off, so had to start the process all over again. Poor service, poor communication, complete lack of customer needs. Home Depot Danbury needs to change their slogan from: How does get more done. to How does waste more time. Now 35 minutes wasted Now 40 minutes wasted Still no answer from tool rental At this time it would have been quicker for me to drive to Danbury, and tell them face to face that I needed to delay the pick-up time. What a complete shambles this store is.

I'm so deeply heartbroken that Home Depot really had me running around in the store looking for someone who can help me for more than 35 min, they had me running back and forth to different people and couldn't do anything for me

I love Home Depot because they always have what I need. The staff is very friendly and helpful which takes the stress away from trying to find what I need

Customer Care or any response was delayed by more than half an hour. Was looking to add items to the order and was more then willing to pay more too but any interactions with them left me highly irritated.

So I'm in Home Depot in Danberry and I need a piece of 4 x 8 insulation and I'm hoping to get the foam insulation cut in half they are already pre-scored so it's pretty simple well can't find anybody to help me in the insulation department so I figured I'll go to the register and ask up there I bring the piece of insulation to the register ask the girl is there anybody that can cut this insulation or can I borrow knife after her calling and paging people for 10 minutes she found somebody else to run to the back of the store to talk to somebody else who then came back and said oh no we don't cut that so you can cut sheet rock for people you can cut wood for people a simple piece of insulation that would take you five seconds to cut you can't cut some of the worst customer service in that store too bad I can't give a call half a star or even zero

Just wondering why we have to control the check out area again? Masks are not required but now a person is telling you which register to go to. Instead of just lining up as usual we are all lined up in an aisle as customers have to pass by closely to shop. the energy could be better in the paint department too.

Very Poor support... Saturday evening June 12th, approached the person in the appliance area to ask for help purchasing a refrigerator.. I asked if she was able to help us find a suitable refrigerator, no more than 33" wide with the best / quickest availability ... The person could "not be bothered" looked at me and my wife as if we were speaking a different language - then said "I'm not a refrigerator expert, I just sell them!" I am a Home Depot stock holder - this is so disheartening, I went to Lowes (I am NOT a Lowes stock holder).

I just LOVE this store! Whatever you do, find DEBBIE M.- a very helpful sales associate. I went to buy several ceiling fans and flush mounted lights and got lost in the lighting dept. Fortunately, I found Debbie M.!! She got an extra cart, found all the items I was looking for, and pushed the cart to the checkout area- and checked me out!! She was the most kind and knowledgable, and really cared that I found what I was looking for! They have a fan for life!

wish I would've seen these ratings before telling my aunt to go here. She waited 3months to get a damn fridge. They kept giving her a delivery date and never showed up. They said they had the wrong address but the bills came to the right address sooooo Im confused. Then when they finally delivered it after going to the store 100times to complain they refused to take the old fridge down. Horrible! They should shit this store down.

I think we may have unfortunately purchased our last products from Home Depot earlier this year when we replaced all of our kitchen appliances. Home Depot had always been exceptional from a customer service standpoint, however since they have outsourced their deliveries and installations, they have gone downhill. I would have to think long and hard before considering to do business with them again and here is why: We had ordered a top of the line GE new stove, dishwasher, fridge, and microwave back in August (total cost was over $9K), and due to COVID, we could not get the products until October (this was totally understandable and not a problem). When the products were delivered in October, the microwave was completely destroyed and needed to be replaced, the stove was installed improperly, the dishwasher was installed improperly, and the fridge actually had no problems except when they installed it, they put the door handles on top of the protective plastic without first thinking to take it off, so the installed handles had plastic sticking out around all of the edges. When we used our dishwasher for the first time, it flooded our basement and caused damage to the walls, floor, fitness equipment, and who knows what else. We shut off the water and had a plumber come out, and then scheduled GE to come to look at the dishwasher unit, the actual GE repair person took the dishwasher out and let us know that it had been severely damaged before they installed it. He said that it looked like they dropped it off the truck, and he took pictures of the back of the dishwasher that was damaged but covered by a part of the unit. He confirmed that this is why the flood was started and he sent the pictures to me and to GE. At this point, nothing has ever been done about the flooding, Home Depot referred me to their "insurance company" Sedgwick, and they have done nothing in the way of addressing this issue, and the new dishwasher was scheduled to be delivered today 1/9/2021, and they just called to let me know that it was severely damaged during the delivery, so we will not receive it today. Mr. Menear, I think you and your team need to take a hard look at your company's service. If nothing is done, Home Depot will be the next Amazon victim.... if you don't believe me, check with Sears....
