Housatonic Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a thrift store in Danbury offering furniture, home decor, and home improvement items. It is a great place for thrift shopping with good deals, where purchases provide assistance to the charity. The selection is always changing and includes potential antiques, useful items, and much more, such as window screens, carpets, chairs, unused construction materials, and second-hand pre-mixed paint. The store has plenty of space inside to peruse, though the parking lot is small. The experience can be hit or miss, as any thrift store is. Everyone in the store has been friendly and helpful. Some note that prices have gone through the roof in recent months. The store does not accept gross donations, which helps maintain a great selection of items being saved from the dump.
I have been here twice and left with items both times. I do enjoy shopping here because I find things that are super useful and these things are being saved from going to the dump.

The place has gotten way too expensive over the course of the years. The pricing simply doesnt match the quality of product. You used to be able to come here and find a great deal or piece. Now - it feels more like window shopping donated stuff
