Hours: Keystone Place at Wooster Heights is a great place overall, described as a clean and well-run facility. It provides a huge family feel and a very friendly environment where staff build great bonds with each other and the residents. The atmosphere is so positive that it often does not feel like working. The facility has an amazing activities and recreation program and very good food. Management is acknowledged for doing a great job, with specific appreciation for the Executive Director's faith in employees, allowing for growth and reward within the company. The work is seen as rewarding because it allows staff to directly impact the lives of the residents and their families, actively contributing to their quality of life. A noted area for improvement is the need to better value and retain effective workers, including nurses, aides, and kitchen staff. Some of the best people have needed to leave due to low pay and an inability to get merit-based raises. The current policy on holiday gifts for staff, which pools contributions and uses a scale primarily benefiting full-time workers, is also a concern. A suggestion is to allow residents to personally tip workers within a managed limit. The overall care is wonderful, and there is hope that management will consider these suggestions for improvement.
