Of all the OUAC locations I’ve been to, this is my least favorite. Both times I was met with lack luster customer service. Lack of variety compared to other locations as well.

Love this store! So easy to sell and staff is super friendly and accommodating. Anything they don’t buy you can take back or leave with them to donate. It’s a real pleasure!!

I find this place to be the holy grail of seconds hand stores because its conveniently concentrated of childrens clothes, shoes, toys and books. Its all the essential items and more for each age group. I have spent so much money here for so many needed and wanted finds. I will be coming here till my kids are no longer children. I love this place and the business!

absolutely LOVE Once Upon a Child in Danbury! Even though I have a local store, I’d rather make the 1.5-hour drive to them. The staff is so friendly and accommodating—they understand that life doesn’t always fit neatly into an 18-gallon clear tote, and sometimes you have a little extra. They’re happy to work with you and it really shows.
Unlike some places where it feels like the employees are just going through the motions, here they truly enjoy helping customers. They make selling easy, painless, and even enjoyable. On top of that, their store has a huge selection of clothing in all sizes, plus toys and books galore.
It’s definitely worth the trip every single time!

After yesterday I won't return. Definitely agree with some of the other reviews. 100 plus high chair and multiple gap clothes 59 dollars? Told me something's had stains... Funny when I purchased swimsuit for my infant son it had a huge rip in it. I think they favor a certain type of culture. Won't be back. Definitely not how it used to be.

I really want to like this place, but it's way overpriced. They sell used items at the same price as new, and every so often toys are more expensive than they would be just buying them from Walmart. Disappointing.

Where do I begin?! We love it here!! First, the store has improved SIGNIFICANTLY since I remember years back in every way. My son grows like a weed and I truly enjoy going there for all of his clothing! It feels good to recycle and save some money while doing it. The staff is always so friendly and welcome me every time I step foot inside.
Pricing: excellent! So fair. You can't beat gently used toys and clothing haul pricing here. I'd easily spend what I do on 10+ items at OUAC on 2 things at any big retailer.
Conditions of clothing = pristine. They are VERY strict with what they buy and put out for purchase. Not once have I found an single imperfection, even after I get home and wash everything.
Selling: so easy! Selling hours are so great and flexible all week. You drop off a bin, sign in with your number, and they text you when it's ready. You really can't beat it!
Lastly, the social media is outstanding! I would come shop here regardless, but if I'm scrolling and see their stories it's game over. 😜 FYI they don't post anything with filters or lies! It's all stuff available and easy to find when you arrive.
Thanks OUAC Danbury for keeping my little guy in style always!

We love this store. I got these brand new Merrell Shoes perfect for winter (the rubber outsole is great for cold weather) and I paid less than 20 bucks!!! Of course the outfit is from once upon a child too ?. My daughter is a book lover and we found chapter books for 1 dollar!!!! Definitely would recommend this place ❤️

I’ve been a customer of Danbury OUAC for over 20 years, shopping for my 7 grandchildren when they were younger, and purchasing baby clothing and equipment to give as gifts to new parents, as well as myriad books and toys. The quality of the merchandise at this location is great, and the customer service is superb!
I’ve gotten to know some of the staff in Danbury, and they are top notch! Any time I’ve needed any help, one of the staff members has always volunteered to assist me, for which I am grateful. Customer service is wonderful at the Danbury OUAC! Thank you, for all the wonderful and fun shopping experiences I have whenever I enter your doors! I highly recommend checking this store out, if you haven’t yet, and have thought of going..they offer gently pre-worn and NWT clothing, including famous name brands, a huge assortment of toys & baby equipment, books, etc. at prices that can’t be beat! If you still haven’t gotten a Halloween outfit for your child (grandchild), hurry up & get there! They still have some great costumes at fantastic prices!! Another thing that I love about this store, is how clean & well organized it is! Oftentimes, throughout my many years of shopping at the Danbury store, I’ve needed assistance with taking some of the shoe containers off the shelves, and every single person does so, with a smile on her face. I absolutely see, AND feel, how much the employees enjoy their work, and I’ve enjoyed many a time sharing laughs with them!
if I were to give this store & employees a letter grade, it would absolutely be A+!

I sold here today and they took so many of my clothes, shoes, and toys! Everyone was so kind and made the selling process so easy for me! Not to mention that it was a quick process which was great. I will definitely be coming back again soon! ?

Please try somewhere else their famous line is the clothes are old and shoes smell .. first off who would bring old smelly stuff to sell .. maybe they so use to that store stinking like old clothes and shoes they assume it’s your stuff .. no they need people with fresh set of eyes who know clothes and shoes well and give the buyer a good price not making up stories cause let be honest the whole store is full of used clothes and shoes . so let’s be honest not every one js bringing in clothes in good condition… every-time I come there I make sure I wash the clothes and shoes .. and first off I buy my kids stuff so they don’t have to run to ground so the next person who gets the clothes or can make good use of it … … they need to teach the employees what’s is correct terminology to use when talking to customers. Cause the whole store smell like old things … they need to clean the store and maybe get some of that old wear tear shoes and clothes off the shelves. So they can take the good stuff from people who actually take care of their kids clothes .
