I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding an uncomfortable experience I had at Sephora today.
While shopping with my sister and my eight-month-old son, my sister and I were approached repeatedly by staff members asking if everything was okay. While I understand this may be standard protocol, the intensity of the attention we received made us feel uncomfortable. At one point, my younger sister was surrounded by several employees, including two larger men, while she was simply browsing lip glosses. Despite informing one staff member in their group that we were fine seconds before, another man from that group approached her moments later with the same inquiry.
This pattern continued, and we felt that our presence was being scrutinized in a manner that felt targeted and racially insensitive. As Spanish individuals, we are disappointed by this experience, which led us to leave the store without completing our shopping.
I believe this treatment was unwarranted, as we were not engaging in any suspicious behavior; we were merely looking for products. I hope you will take my concerns seriously and address this matter appropriately.

Being someone who was never “drawn to” makeup, I often passed Sephora, but never stopped in. Last week however, I needed a “pick me up” and planned an impromptu mall trip. Given the mall wasn’t too busy, I decided on a whim to stop in Sephora and see what all the “hype” is about.
Almost immediately upon entering, I was greeted by a lovely associate—who’s name for the life of me I can’t remember! I was honest with her that I was WELL out of my league, but just wanted some advice on how to start a daily makeup routine.
To my surprise I was met without judgement and with incredible patience. She showed me several items throughout the store, helped me find my perfect shades, and even did a lovely job of applying my makeup while explaining basic techniques. To say I felt beautiful when she was done is an understatement—I was glowing!
When I was finished, one of the other associates took her time to get me registered for the rewards program. She even put all of the products they used at my visit on my personalized recommendation list online so that I could purchase when I was ready.
Thank you so much, Sephora! I had a nerve-wracking doctor’s visit after I stopped in and feeling good about myself really helped ease my anxiety so much! I can’t wait to purchase everything online and get started on my beauty regimen!

Went in for skin care, but seemed like they were holding a training session or something... one person on the sales floor walking around, and didn't acknowledge me. Walked out and just went to Ulta.

Had a very nice experience at the Danbury fair mall Sephora thanks to Laura. She was super sweet upon checkout and even complimented my makeup! Very good customer service here and good selection of makeup.

Liz in the skincare section was AMAZING. She was very knowledgeable about the products and was able to pinpoint me to specific products for my skincare needs.

Went to Sephora today for my birthday I was going to buy some stuff but the staff just ignored me. This was the first time I’ve ever been to a Sephora and probably the last.

I went to the expensive area because I wanted to see some products that I saw on the internet and I had 3 products in my hand that I wanted to buy when a lady who works there I stared at so much that it made me uncomfortable but I took it as normal looking at the products that she had in hand but in a very bad way I felt super bad it was more than 20 minutes that the lady couldn't take my eyes off the enzyme I felt bad that I left without buying anything I don't know if it was because she had a bag and I thought she was going to rob me but it wasn't like that, I won't go into that store again and I have Latin characteristics because of my parents or maybe that's why I don't recommend that you go in there, it was the worst experience I've never felt so judged

Lakia provided excellent customer service and was very knowledgeable about the different skin products. She was very helpful in helping my daughter find the right products for her face and for mines which I didn't even know I needed.

First time at this location and I have to tell you Hanna is great! I asked for a specific Hourglass product and she was knowledgeable about the product and my skin. I had done my research on the foundation before going in and she solidified the purchase. Her makeup looked amazing and the confidence she had in explaining the product was spot on. She suggested a brush vs a sponge and you know what that foundation does look fantastic with the brush I bought that she suggested. She gave me a few free samples since we discussed my issue with mascara and how 99% of them irritated my eyes and guess what day 4 of wearing the mascara sample and I have 0 irritation. She’s professional, knowledgeable and personable and I will be returning to buy the full size mascara. It’s rare to find someone like her and it was just a great shopping experience.

The service was super great. My favorite employee is the young girl with the short black curly hair I think her name was evy. She’s so friendly and helpful everytime I visit.

They have an amazing selection of testers and staff are incredible. I've been twice now and both times one of the employees with long, curly light brown hair has been super enthusiastic and helpful. I wish I lived closer bc I'd be my go-to Sephora. Thank you all :)

I don’t know, but the cashiers swear that they’re slick yesterday I brought for around $200 and inside of my bag they gave me a beauty insider flyers, for Next time I go to the store and something else for benefits but they’re both expired. And this happened last time I went too. This never happened or any other store
